Sip

Slowly, but surely
Sip into my jar of tea
There you'll find me...

Twisting and turning
In childlike laughter and joy
Boy, you just got burned!

there was a young cad named O’Byrne
who dallied with the lasses and then spurned
till one day he tangled with Molly
who wouldn’t put up with such folly
and poor ole O’Byrne got burned

Valentine Shmalentine

Valentine Shmalentine,
I fell in love and he broke this heart of mine.
Broken promises and sour kisses,
shattered dreams and wishes.
I gave him my all and I got burned,
Thanks anyway Cupid but my lesson has been learned.

Premium Member Concerning An Ant's Dna

Skiing on a cup of java
  the little ant got burned
Limping out to lick his wounds
  he decided to return

Once again the ant was scalded
  yet he seemed quite unconcerned
I guess that ants are just not programmed
for this lesson to be learned

Forget You Not

Forgetting you
Will be the hardest thing i do
You brought the sun
I thought you were the one
But i got burned
And now iv learned

ill say goodbye
My scars will shy
But for now ill get high
And stare into the Sky

because were part of something more
And its worth every war

In Love With a Rolls-Royce

(This is a fictional poem)

A man fell in love with his brand new Rolls-Royce.
But he soon made a very bad choice.
He thought kissing a car would be the same as kissing a woman but he soon
learned it was not.
He french kissed the tailpipe right after driving his Rolls and a third degree burn
was what he got.
It hurt so much that it reduced this idiot to tears.
His mouth got burned so bad that he couldn't taste for an entire year.

Dark Star

In the depths
Of your space
There lay a dark star

The light
Shuttered from within
I only learned
Of its' presence
When I reached in,
and got burned

In the depths
Of your space
there lay a dark star

The light
Never emitted
I tried
To open the night
Nothing glittered

In the depths
of your space
There lay a dark star

Only you
Can release
All of the light
That you hide within
The internal peace
Fading the night

Yesterday's Candle

Don't be ashamed of yesterday..
We took chances in times of disarray..

Built bridges that we can't cross alone..
Through narrow paths to lead us home..

Forks in the road that divided hearts true..
We went our ways and watched each other choose..

Tread lightly if your path is in the dark night..
Look up to the sky and remember I'm still your light..

Remember yesterday and the wisdom learned..
We shared a candle light but never got burned..

Flaming Truth

Looking back upon my life,
With all it’s twists and turns
I am really quite amazed
At all the lessons I have learned

Oh, none of them were easy
I can tell you that
There was lots of pain and heartache
And at times I got off track

I laid the blame on others
For the pain that I went through
That’s the way I saw it
And I believed it too.

But I finally saw the truth
I was the only one to blame
Any time I got burned
I had walked into the flame.

lost in space
standing at
the crossroads
between Heaven
in that of hell
i stand
a lone fiddler
from the dust
of ashes
one breathes

a towering
heart burning inferno
which got burned
scorched hell
drawing magic
in a memory bank
now opening
the curtains
etched on
chamber walls

i play
a sweet tune
as the embers
begin breathing
drums begin beating
like the phoenix
a yearning inside

one soul
i arise
from the ashes
light of love
sparkle and shine
remaining in embers
awaiting loves call
