A quiver
In thy shadow

Corporate machine

To thine mad

Fat on war born dollar
And Roundup ready
To takeover
This cow eat cow world

Each bow to a higher power

But some gets paid by the hour

They'll soon be expecting half

Montazionsa Revenge
Eternal is God’s wrath
Why fight eating your own words you think odd
Don’t drink the golden calf water

Unleavened Will
O, break your bread and pour your wine
don't fast on my behalf
you'll not find me in grain nor grapes
nor peering from the golden calf
that tempts you look away

I am your shame,
the baker of unleavened will
the tainted hutzpah on your mind
a pestilence upon your pity
a barrier between you and the all divine...

Fleece Rave
. for public domain

Socrates died joyfully.
Although Justice did not win,
His voice rang truly in a world,
of so much gibberish and din.

Vengeance is mine, says the Lord,
Yours is all but Vanity,
but hold not that all Life is Nil,
for then you speak profanity.

Live well all that you believe,
prosper in your war and peace,
put to the pit the Golden Calf,
pursue for your own the Golden Fleece....

Child-God
Golden Calf slew the secret lizard.
The injured man-fish boiled, blew & died:
A skinless Jew coiled like a snake,
Cold, nailed to a stake. Sad,
Its sinless flesh badly stewed & bled
Its stainless bones not one broken.
Child-god born to a nasty world
To tell slight morals to a pointless people,
Let your Sight
To the blind & sinful light
The mind of the simple to such senseless
Love as yours; such terrible genius you never chose!...

Premium Member The Sphinx
The Sphinx, an early Egyptian god
With head of a man and feline’s bod
Was a helpless kind of deity
Of no use to priest or laity.

God was angered by the golden calf,
But the silly sphinx just made him laugh,
A toy to toss to nearest stars
To land at last on Planet Mars.

It lies there in nonentity
A rock without identity
Forgotten with other rocks around it
Until technological camera found it.

For Carolyn's Sphinx contest

won 6th place...

Age of Aquarius
when the moon no longer rhymes with June
and Jupiter crashes into Mars
when the TV no longer works
can't watch Dancing with the Stars
this is the funeral of the age of aquarius
the age of aquarius
aquarius, aquarius
vagabonding in good standing
I get my ejimacation on the street
seven days make a week
on two of them I freek
come out here to dodge the draft
and worship the golden calf
this is the funeral of the age of aquarius
the age of aquarius etc....

The Golden Calf
The Egyptians' made a golden calf and worshipped it.
When the Lord learned what they did, he had a fit.
They stabbed God in the back even though he freed them from being slaves.
What they did was reprehensible, it was a shameful way to behave.

Those people were terrible and they had no gratitude.
Moses and God were both disgusted by their attitude.
God is the only one who should be worshipped, not a golden calf.
When people do such things, they will suffer the Lord's wrath....
