Direction
looking in the wrong direction
looked left when I should
have looked right
always going in circles
no end to directional plight...

Hunter Or Prey
The hunter found deer tracks that were new
Going in circles now, what could he do?
He thought what the heck
Hot breath on his neck
Too late he knows, who is tracking who!...

Confused
i think i love dennis
i think i like joey...
i barely see dennis
but i see joey all the time...
my mind keeps going in circles and it makes me dizzy...
i don't know what to do anymore.
dennis.. joey.. dennis..... joey..
it's so confusing...

Frustrated
The paper falls
The television freezes
The nusance of a sore

The site fails
The lonliness sears
The news pales

Keep going
Going in circles
Wishing and wanting, overflowing

Struggling, waiting
What's it all for?
The answer will come
When all is grating...

Alphabet Soup
I make my checklist
And begin

Words and lyrics don’t blend but
Numbers
Concise, not deris{ive}
Begun thinking again. Stop.
Classical music; diction-less connotation.

The history bar grows longer but the checklist never shorted
The train is going in circles and
my mind is a bowl of alphabet soup....

The Geometry of a Love Gone Wrong
Drawing lines between shapes of grief
Going in circles, awaiting the lietmotif
Now just a side of a triangular run.
With defences up like the Pentagon.

Then finally looking Love square in the face
While Hope's line slopes down in disgrace
Calculating a Geometry too disjoint
For Love to have a basic point....

The Virus
Like a ghost I sit here
No one notices me
With their heads down, like they have somewhere to be
Hustling around like ants on a mound
Going in circles Around Around Around
Everyone like robots coded on path
The villains designing their evil wrath
There's a virus that spreads in the air.
Electronics all they do is Tear Tear Tear
...

Winter Magic
Winter's cast its magic spell.
Rain is streaming down the hills,
tracing sorrows to dispel.

Wind is whistling in indifference:
sparkling, surging, going in circles,
redeeming the world from all its suffrance.

Clouds are crashing,
their swords clashing.
Zealous, now, the sky is flashing.

Mist is making a dance with beams;
The world is lost in a hazy dream....

Treacherous Stride
Unsteady stride, feeling weak, deflates any thought of pride. I have to pull it
together, find my stride.

Caught with my guard down, never saw it coming, the blow to my heart was
painfully numbing. Feel like I'm stuck on a merry-go-round, going in circles, never
gaining any ground.

I've been smitten by love many times in my life, but never before been cut to the
bone by such a cruel knife....

circles
We keep going in circles
Til we fall to the ground
The silence is supposed to be quite
but its getting loud
Slowly i stop breathing
My heads in the clouds
You can hear my thoughts
Before i say them out loud
I hate the way you look at me
Like if i am your whole world
I had to end things
Before i turned into nothing else
I apologize many many times
But my heart tells me your upset with me
And i still cant figure out why

Sextant
The little sextant was diverse
to have position on the Earth.
While going in circles 'round the sun
and seeing all for what it's worth.

It shot through space
and saw the stars.
It passed through Heaven
paired with Mars.

It spun in groups
much like our own.
Through some not quite:
and lesser known.

In time it passed
our way again.
The universe
come home to men.

While those who watched
and wondered why,
would only say
that we're going by....

Sleepless At the Hilton
Why don't you just sing me a lullaby
Perhaps I could join in to
Minds on a race track
Just going in circles
Your the only one going
All other walks of life have headed to bed
Why don't you to you sleepy head
How are you still not dead
To busy in lala land
In dreams of a new home and life
Just lye there in your new bed
For once you feel safe
Oh, well who needs sleep
Stay up with the nocturnal creatures
Darkness takes over
So under the blankets you go...

Dreamland
The carousel slows to a stop,

circular light bulbs flickering.

Light to

Nothing,

to light.

An instant so minute

it drags on.

-

The roller coaster loops,

traversing into another dimension.

A world in between,

almost, not quite

escaping

gravity. Reality

is as far as we go.

-

Cotton candy clouds are made

by going in circles.

Accumulating large clumps

from nearly invisible wisps.

Maybe that is why

they disappear on first taste

leaving only sticky fingers....

No Name
Emotional residue keeps piling up,
Like cigarette smoke darkening the filter.
Lungs full of dirt, head full of darkness.
Too little time, too much stress.
Keeping up with the flow seems impossible.
The end in sight, no light ahead.
 Another cigarette, another drag.
All in one place, all at the same time,
Going in circles for far too long.
 Unstable, temptations looming too strong.
Thoughts of the shortcut is taking a hold,
 Blazing with freezing lingering cold....
