Whatever

I tried.
I cried.

I bleed.
Godspeed.

Haunted heart.
Impart.

Tears fall.
Feel small.

Gave up.
Mucked up.

Reality torn.
Well-worn.

Life; death.
no breath.

Godspeed

Through the storms through the perils
To REACH YOUR HEART I've been through
Suffered much endured so much
Survived it all, I brush it off
for my heart is as strong as any obstacle I face
Im swift I come with Godspeed

I’m going, I’m leaving
I’m going to tomorrow by bed
best travelling at night
where church bells speed the hours there
for my arrival at first light
to a newer land than today
and I’ve only packed my hopes
alas I often over pack

THE LAST LOVE LETTER
By David Kavanagh

At Godspeed

Jesus died on a cross so I could live He promised all my sins he would forgive if you want to see God, you go through me he said my blood is the wine in this cup, my body the bread angel arms would fly me to Heaven at Godspeed

Not Me

Some mourned
His death
Today -
Not me

Someone
Killed him
They say -
Not me

He stole
My wife
And laughed -
Not me

I fear
Prison
That's why
Not me

His death
Improved
This Earth
Say I

He'll rot
in Hell
Godspeed -
Not me

A Milestone

Dismal stars out
Contrite to feelings
The moon glows brightly.
The storm is inside.
Tears form as I cry.

Regret, I don’t.
Have I done wrong?
Here and now stand
Weeping for hope.

Willow tree
Sways in wind
Vision rapt

Hope gales.
Godspeed!

Whom Thou Lovest

face down
again tonight
this time
of the sacred cathode
all white ways
when it glowed
free, electric

flat-line
when to destroy
is to
defy his last request
soulfully
all the best
or not at all

Godspeed
with hearts and stars
edgewise
hold high your smartest blade
whom thou lovest
thou betrayed
without question

I'Ll Stay,,,

I’ll stay for as long as you’ll have me At least as long as you have need Until the time comes that you no longer need me Then bid me farewell And Godspeed E’en when I’ve gone I’ll still be close by In the flowers, in the wind… In the Autumn leaves. So if you should ever Have need of me…Again Open your window And let in the breeze

Love To Laugh

All smiles
Go miles,

All cries
soon dies,

Face fears
shun tears,

All hate
can wait,

As such,
LOVE much,

Laugh off
a scoff;

Be kind
Save Wild,

Be wise
Shun vice,

Good deed
Godspeed,

Find nooks
Read books,

All's swell
ends well!.

Premium Member Court of Euphoric Fifty-Somethings

the aura, godspeed ahead.
her countenance more than slaked,
it’s heated and apple baked.

fifty-somethings march with time…
sue ellen’s court supporting their queen,
with fanfare tea parties and costumes to preen.

steeped in fanciful color, like a dream at seventeen.
friendship and euphoria, sisters, well-bred
primped in gowns, fedoras and blossom in purple and red.

Weeds

When you plant good seeds watch out for weeds. They will try to supersede and snuff out all good deeds.

Because weeds grow to impede and to do misdeeds. Once freed the weed will proceed to take the lead and have you treed indeed.

So take heed, when you plant your seeds, watch for weeds, if you feed, they will breed and will make you concede.

Proofread, then proceed with Godspeed.

Squall's Godspeed

Clouds heartshaped breaking
The downpours between us separating

Wrong to say I am in love
Wrong to seep in with this water

that's kissing and falling.
God, you drip so much into me.

The petrichor ~ on me ~ you fear
The petrichor ~ on you ~ you fear

The sky's cracks will slowly heal to blue
I will remember tight each tear for you

Since the rain overflows
My darling, go

Neon

My neon-hearted one,
vibrating throbs shining through
the soul-soaked night. It

is an endless ride
on this forlorn, pebble-skinned
autobahn; I still

can feel you out there.
Your heartstrings are like distant,
radio waves; such

beautiful white noise
attached to the senses of
mine anchoring me

into a godspeed
velocity just to safe
and sound; here and now reach you.

Weed

In the earth, I plant this weed
A magnificent plant indeed
Given refuge when in need
Taken away from the pain I bleed

In the earth, I plant this weed
High spirits for such a seed
Future well with Godspeed
Those who know, are those who read

In the earth, I plant this weed
An autumn moon takes the lead
Holding my breath I precede
Taking the chance, to succeed

Do not miss your chance.
Take a leap into
the sea of unknown;
opportunity.
Go on, take that risk!

Find your passion,
chase that rainbow.
Godspeed, my friend.
Never look back!

On your marks,
get set, go!
Today, now.

Never
look back...

leap!

Dora Gouws, Into God's Hands

I
Dora was 82 this year
My onetime neighbor
Three years back
I was new again
From USA, I backtracked
She inspired me about Africa again

II
Jesus, she loved Thee well
We pray, shalom, live to tell
If an ordinary, great South African
Bye Tanie Dora, godspeed
You wanted to care for your needs
But Thatcher Home was there
For a while, you shared your flair
In faith and community spirit

Nothing Left To See

Everything he knew was gone
Except what were his memories
The future and the dawn had merged
And passed away to history
He came to realize that fate
Had given him no guarantee
No foes to best or place to rest
No strength to fight or flee
So if you think you might have seen
Someone that looked a bit like me
With unsung deeds
Wish him Godspeed
For now there’s nothing left to see

A Funeral

Death and its mournful tidings
Obituaries and eulogies, read
Black ties and black veils, all in rows
Surround this shell and the open earth
The cold, damp wind sashays through and through
Memories, half a century old are lost and forgotten
A flight of geese overhead, perform a last flyover
Victory in death
Vestiges of family, say farewell and Godspeed
Tomorrow brings colder and damper weather

Twin Butterflies

Fly oh dear butterflies,
like nothing can stop you,
spread your wings so wide,
that when you move it,
it makes a wind so strong,
enough to blow away the pain of your passing,
the tears caused by your departure.

Fly my dear butterflies,
Godspeed as you find your way home.
And should one of your kind comes into my life once again,
bless me with your love,
as I will always bless you with mine.

Geborgenheit

Blind date with a blind map,
oh Lord, where are my fingers running?
Are they again seeking out your heart?
For your body remains invisible
on uncharted lands
as your absence taking shape.
Godspeed with the Hand of Fate,
while mapping on the surface of this paper
for guiding me safe waters,
watching out the tides
while leaving nowhere
I reach you ashore,
"Geborgenheit" is the word;
safe & sound.

I Never Dreamed, I Would See God Riding a Harley

I never dreamed, I would see God riding a Harley
As fast as he goes it's called Godspeed
No matter what area you live in
He is there to help you, indeed

He goes through towns and cities,
Disguised like a man.
Just finding people,
Who really need a hand.

After awhile, he heads back on the road,
Listening to people, who are in need.
Checks on everything He created,
For He is the one, that planted the seed.

A Wonderful Nana

A gentle whisper
Throughout our hearts,
A memory never lost
A loving woman dear to our hearts.

Her smile would wipe away
The coldest of fears,
Her gentle love would wipe away
The endless tears.

Even though she has gone away
Her love and memory is always
Here To Stay!!

We love you Nana with everything
that we are and we know that you
are now walking in Glory with God,
and all of our lost loved ones.
Godspeed Nana

Brendan Harper

The last time I heard your voice
Was when you were on the S.S. Charlotte
You said I was ornery
For breaking your computer
I haven't heard from you since
No letters, e-mails, or phone calls
I'm worried sick
But I shouldn't be
Because you're worried about me
And my well-being
That's why you left for the Navy
To protect all of US
Literally the United States
And I am grateful
Godspeed to you, cousin
We're with you all the way
