Hope of the Hopeless

A droplet of icicle glistening in the sun;
Frozen in a tear.
Is an unanswered prayer on a dead man’s lips;
Frozen in eternity.

March Winter

The ice on the waterfall
 sparkles like crystal diamonds
glittering and glistening in the sun
but the icy chill wafts in the fires glow
subtle cool breezes bluster the day
and March enters hanging onto winter's last dream.

Mary Ann and Me

Lazy hazy hot summer day
Dewdrops on flowers glistening in the sun
Blowing white wisps of dandelion seeds
Dipping tart rhubarb in bowls of white sugar
Swinging side by side on squeaky swings
Smiling, laughing
Best friends
Forever

frozen on the vine
cryogenic flavored host
a time released smile

frozen on the vine
ice glistening in the sun
grapes hold on tight

harvest time has come
necter trapped in purple orbs
till glasses are raised

Yoshino cherry tree, blossoms glistening in the sun
Most vibrant display of white-pink blossoms, with faint almond fragrance
Delightful moment, overcome by a massive sneeze attack

Premium Member Stolen From the Ocean

Sea shells on the beach,
Glistening in the sun.
Feeling all alone just lying there.
Remembering being swept away,
From my family.
Yelling, screaming
Being pushed away now all I see are,
 little dots in the ocean.
I am gone never to return again.
I am forever lost

Tahoe Ii

Glistening in the sun so vivid and blue
Mirroring the azure heavens hue;
Enchanting as tourmalines worn by few,
Fewer believe this paradise is true.
Yarrow and parsnip came and grew,
Coloring mountains as spring debuted.
Adding to the lovely enchanting view.
Such majestic beauty must be untrue!

Bottle Tree

BOTTLE TREE
 They say
 That evil spirits
 Are captivated by your beauty
As you stand glistening in the sun.
 Wanting a better look,
 They come closer
 And get caught.
 That's what
 They say.

Flavor

Caramel,Vanilla, and Chocolate,
As sweet as sugar,
Melting when the sun touches it,
Smooth and warm,
More than a mouthful.

Glistening in the sun like a beautiful horizon,
Looking like drops of sugar when it melts,
I enjoy kissing and touching it,
Some even love to squeeze it,
I love my Caramel, Vanilla, and Chocolate skin.

Sun Rays

yellow is the color of sunrays
so bright so powerful to give us light by day
the sun sets and turns the sky into an eruption of colors
trees in the forest with towering heights
that shows through shafts of light

snow capped mountain tops glistening in the sun
gurgling, bubbling, tossed waters surge
back and forth
these things thrill and exhilirate us

Logy

Desert air so sweet, so dear
Standing in the radiance of the sand
Glistening in the sun

Traveling through barren lands
Visiting forgotten people
Transfixed in turquoise stain-glass steeples
Venturing in the arms of desert creatures

Sun drenched in desert wonder
With skin the color copper
Following the footsteps of my people
I stop to listen to the crowing of the dawn.

The ice festival was well underway
magnificent sculptures everywhere
in the centre in pride of place
stood the Ice King looking regal
sparkling and glistening in the sun
yet if you lay your hand on him
a fiery burning pain sears your skin
he watches on unmoved by your pain
his heart only made of ice is unfeeling
he feels no emotions as he melts away

Parachilna Gorge, Flinders Ranges, Outback South Australia

A track leads through a gully in the bushland
Following the least line of resistance in a haphazard plan
The kookaburras and the magpies squawk happily away
The sun on my back makes me want to stay

Walking to the rock face broken on the gorge face
Two wallabies look our way and away they race
A creek flows through glistening in the sun
The day exploring is heaven easily done.

Christ's Life- Christ's Love

As the morning dew lies on the flower,
glistening in the sun,
so will the Spirit that comes down on you,
reflect the glory of His love.

He will pour out His living water,
drench your parched dry soul,
He will bring life to the dead in faith
making you alive and whole.

Come to the voice that calls you,
hear and believe what He has to say,
Abundant life He will pour into you,
For in Him you may be made new today!

Days

Miserable grey, damp wet Days
Days shorter and winters Long
Long bleak dark Evenings
Evenings as black as pitch.

Bright frosty cold Mornings
Mornings glistening in the Sun
Sun shines cold as the Day
Day soon will become night.

Snow crisp and White
White flurries fall from the Sky
Sky as white as the Day
Day fades into a crisp evening.

Days engulfed with Floods
Floods devastating your Home
Home unfit to live In
In shelter we seek comfort.

A Spring Morning

Nothing is more beautiful
Than a morning in the Spring,
With dew-pearled grass, glistening in the sun,
And flowers so beautiful,
It makes one’s heart sing.

Birds singing in the morning air,
Dogs playfully barking here and there,
Flowers unfolding for the sun…
I feel so happy, I just want to run.

Spring is the most delightful
Time of the year,
When Winter gasps her last breath,
And resurrection once again is here!

Sifting Through Sand

Sifting through the sand
Looking for something with value or at
least something solid to grasp
Every clump touched quickly breaks away
and falls through the cracks
Tiny pieces glistening in the sun look so
tantalizing
Just to small to have any true substance
What once was a solid piece of beauty has
slowly crumbled away with time
The glue that once held it all together is
now lost
Now these separate tiny pieces are just
blown away in the breeze.

Premium Member The Promising Island

On his raft, the lone traveler was now at a couple of cable lengths from the two islands. He could distinctively see the trees.
He smiled. At last, he would have some fresh fruits to eat instead of conserves and salty ham.
To reach to forest, one had a cliff to climb. The other had a welcoming beach.
He chose the warm sand glistening in the sun.
The paradise of hope was clear.
Above all, for the inhabitants of the island, hungry cannibals, happy to see fresh meat.
