Round the Bend

housework drives me round the bend
there is never an end in sight
I'd get stuck in to get it finished
but I'd be up half the bloody night!

Muscle memory

I have accomplished nothing.

Yet.

I keep on dreaming.

Though some of the dreams
slowly get stuck in the deeps
of my wrinkled face.

That keeps on smiling,
to avoid the talk.

Tomorrow

Yesterday
can not be undone,
tomorrow is a new day
to diplay your vision to the world
open up your mind
don't get stuck in time
and show your knowledge of today
stop holding on to yesterday

The Awful Marriage

Why get stuck in an awful marriage forever more.
Never again will you be able to soar.
Only one,
You will be able to adore.
Only you won’t adore,
But you will regret forever more.
Between freedom you’ll be torn.
In a marriage I’ll never be scorn.
It’s a curse forever worn.
I fell sorry for the ones this disease hath born.

Something Real

WE DONT KNO OUR FUTURE AND SUMTIMES WE GET STUCK IN THE PAST.

ITS HARD TO KNO WHICH DIRECTION TO GO, TO HAVE FAITH IT WILL LAST.

MY FAITH HAS BEEN TESTED, IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYDAY.

I LIVE WITH A HEART THAT IS BROKEN IN EVERY WAY.

I OFTEN HIDE MY FEELINGS, NOT KNOWING HOW I SHOULD FEEL.

IN THE END WE ALL JUST WANT TO FIND SUMTHING REAL!!!

You Start With Rage

Your words must rage firstly, a little mad is not mad enough. Look what you did with words, you dug into your own fiction. That was the first rage, first stage. Don’t get stuck in the mind mud You are IN the Mind not IT in you. Carry yourself over an impossible finish line, then pass yourself on to anything else. Anything.

Nosy Neighbor Nuisance

She's "concerned" that my mess is immense
"I work late." Is my latest defense
Yes, my yard is a wreck
But IF you must peck
Your big NOSE might get stuck in my fence

So you KNOCKED my troublesome trooper?
Tell ya what you prim party-pooper
I will warn you once more
Poke your head through MY door?
I'll slam it right square on your snooper!
Form: Limerick

Real Love

Sometimes you wonder what love really means
but your life depends on his
Laughing, romance, and playing
like I am always sayig
You dont know what love really means
until you get stuck in between
You will never know
if you dont get up and go
Try to find a girl i first sight
and make her night
And you both will feel better
and be set forever......

Explaining Complaining

It’s easy to complain about
The things we cannot change
And those who don’t complain at all
I think are mighty strange.

Yet trying to improve our lot
Is often way too hard
So many just get stuck in gear,
The path to progress barred.

Not wanting to be viewed
As doing nothing, we maintain
That nothing really can be done
And therefore, we complain.
Form: Rhyme

Raising the Bar

I’ll raise the bar and do what’s right
Raising the bar comes purely with
A fight. I’m Christ representative
In this dark unfriendly world, refusing
To get stuck in any old mould.

To employers and customers confidence
Is the key. I’ll strive to be the best I can
Possibly be. God promise my labour would
not be in vain, if I raise the bar consistently
and call on his name.

Premium Member How Do the Great Poets Find Inspiration

What do the great poets think
When they are spilling their ink
Please do not ask me, I wouldn't know
My every stanza a river of woe

How do the great poets find
  Inspiration within their minds
I really haven't a clue
My ideas get stuck in queue

What do the great poets do
When the rhythm and flow isn't true
Once again, I'm at a total loss
~ Time for another cup of the sauce

Kerplunk

Sometimes we get stuck in place
And all the dreams we used to chase
Have vanished, so it’s time to face
The fact our world has shrunken.

The plans and goals we’d once embrace
Have left without a single trace
And looking forward, we must brace
For hopes, once high, now sunken.

However, there’s a saving grace –
We simply have to slow our pace
As lofty futures we erase,
Not letting any funk in.

Dangerous Research

You sit in a world of stasis,
Following the minute traces,
Seeing intangible, unknowable signs,
In infinite cosmic designs,
Leads to a dangerous and devilish crisis,
Where you get stuck in hidden places.
You miss the highs and the lows,
The morning as the cock crows.
The world will pass you by,
As insignificant alive or if you die.
No-one misses someone they've never known,
So you reap the seed you've sown.

Apple Pie

My jeans are tight I don't know why
It must of been that apple pie
I couldn't resist it piping hot
With lots of custard draped on top.

That soft lush pastry just makes me go yum
As my mouth competes with my tum
I feel so bloated and fit to drop
When I tuck in, I must remember to stop.

I know I ate a little too much
But an apple pie wasn't meant just to touch
So get stuck in and start to eat
You know you deserve a little treat.
Form: Rhyme

Dont Go

Stay with me,
And hold me tight,
Don’t let go,
Not ever,
Please stay with me forever,

All I have to do is look at you,
And I smile,
Your love drives out the darkness,
The hate just disappears,
I can almost see it melt from within me,
If your not here,
Who will run my demons away,
They will get stuck in my head,
I need you there to help me to set them free,

Please don’t go,
Stay with me,
I can t be there,
Without you there,
To help me.

Destination

So when you are in my life.
And you have created a map with a star on the destination to your heart.
Know that I might get lost on the way, missing billboard signs and road signs.
But most importantly, missing exits to return home to myself when the traffic jams and honks are too unbearable to get stuck in.
Sometimes others' destinations to their hearts aren't always a road you have to travel on if it requires you to take roads you know aren't safe.

Reading the Fine Print

In younger days we booked a trip
And never gave a thought
To reasons we might cancel
And what refunds would be sought.

We rarely took insurance,
Health was not a big concern
And we never worried ‘bout the need
To suddenly return.

But age has made us cautious;
Carefree travel makes no sense
And by reading all the fine print,
Suddenly I’m on the fence.

Do we take a chance and go
Because our time is ticking fast
Or get stuck in the minutiae
‘Til the options have all passed?
