Through a school window,
I watched a bird fly.
It landed on the window sill,
and we stared, eye to eye.
I thought, Oh little bird,
change places with me.
You study geography
and I will fly free.
All you water, please file neatly
into the ocean - I mean completely,
and if you are dirt, you are meant
to lie on a continent.
Islands and lakes, please prepare,
for your judgment, the electric chair.
The year 2023: It gave to us the very worst and best of times.
The Worst of Times: There were two Wars over Geography.
