Oh Guinness
Iced-sweats seep down her ebony skin-
this sexy number 8 needs a take-in.
while she gawp, i stared back
only to drool and hijack
her, for her name is GUINNESS, my sole kin!...

Retail
You hang on a rail
Poised in the window.
Flaunt yourself to passers by.

They gawp at you
Then walk on by.

You start to feel cheap
No one cares anymore
They want to swap you
For a newer model.

They move you to the back
You've sunk to their level.

Few people try you on.
Your last year's fashion.
Your on sale....

Night Rose
Nights turning into morning
sun goes down, we come alive
two wounded birds, awaits the dawning
the days of our life

each night, afloat in my sphere
you shoot athwart my dark sky
but life isn’t fair
the reason I cannot fly

some nights you’d appear as the blood-moon
to keep a lonesome me cheerful
and perky like the crescent-moon
then I gawp and feel blissful....

Strong Winds From the North
A thrown sky pushes and scatters.
Small birds fall from their songs.
Sticks fly up invisible chimneys.

A strong wind has come from the north,
it unearths the stringy and un-mulched.
Fusty heaps scud, makeshift mouths gawp.

Whoever has a quiet lamp,

from the helter-skelter,
for the graveyard owls are loose,
their feathers ruffled
they fly as loud
as the clouting forest....

Bouquet Becomes Tourniquet
My memory endures a tourniquet
as it tries to forget, while holding blood.
It used to sport a bouquet
as it tried so hard to boast.

Bouquet becomes tourniquet.
A flow is held.
A part of me is throttled, my throat is squeezed.
It wants to loosen - but strangles.

Some things will not release.
Eyes will gawp, try to pop.
Memory can cause so much pain.
That tourniquet that holds so much.

(4 May 2003)...

Eiffel Shriek
My mouth is weak in gape
That night my eyes in gawp
The night of war in memory
Horrendous ISIS brought Paris.
Horror! The world in anguish
Bataclan Theatre in despair
Before Eiffel shrieked in anguish
The dead, maimed, the innocents
The glints of Eiffel now in glitch
Begrimed! 13th of eleventh month
As bodies in bags she sees
But cry not further, Eiffel
Borders shall be in open
Eiffel shall tower and smile
Bow not shall we to them
Cowards, men in dark visitations...
