This notion falls on
through:
Every traffic light.
Every petty fight.
Every lonely night.
Every petty fool
Every lapsing rule.
Every pistol premise,
True.
Every laughing,
Gapped tooth fool.
Every me,’
Every you,
Even landlords,
Priests and tools
Are each a tenured
part of school....

Perfect Night
Dreamy nights by the river; my hair flowing against the cool breeze
I am embraced with my love in the moonlight.
Gazing at the city lights that reflect in his eyes felt like Christmas.
I could stay away together forever; he had given me the perfect gift.
He who was already unwrapped, we played as time gapped further into the night.
We painted the perfect scene for a perfect painting on a perfect night; 
And we still had tomorrow....

Be strong,
It is not cause to cry
Nor an excuse to whine.

What is a missing tooth,
If it is not mine?
Be strong,
For a gapped smile, in truth,
Is not a cause to whine.

What is a missing limb
If it is not mine?
Be strong,
Smile and do not be grim
Nor seem, ever, to whine.

What is a missing life
If it is not mine?
Be strong,
And ask a lonely wife
If there is cause to whine?...

Through the Field, Into My Heart
The clouds mirror in her eyes, shivers cascade through myself.
Lilies of the Valley cling to her hair, so golden.
Such beauty incomparable to everything Man itself has witnessed.
Watching this joy radiate from her, impenetrable to the imperfect, I am thus complete.
Her gapped smile. Her hands. Feet. 
Little nose and ears.
And as I listen ever so intently, I wonder if Heaven could be so great as hearing her laughter, her voice yelling, 
“Daddy, run faster.”...
