And thus Prince Hamlet
In suicidal reflect,
Makes his own gauntlet
And by distrust and suspect
Must a murderer detect.
minnows barely swish
pond is quietly simple
cattails stand guard
bullfrog's belligerent voice
a bellow beyond the pond
F riendly little fellow, always
R eally happy and always
O n the look out for a cricket, while
G rinning form ear to ear.
IF YOU COME ACROSS A FROG,
IN A SWAMPY BUGGY BOG...
AND, YOU ARE A BIG HORSE FLY...
YOU WILL GET SLURPED UP AS YOU GO BY.
peculiar frog
on a rock-
reptilian gargoyle
angry wind
sweeps across land-

moonlight on wet stones~
the frog's leap shatter's silence
ripples kiss the shore.
on a leaf, sailing
smoothly to bygone phrases
laced with time I bow
to unknown spirits, watching
trees dance in orphic autumn
Lunch as an insect in the fog
Flying in a swamp by a log
For a starving toad
Though surely he's slowed
To a speedy tongue of a frog
there is a cricket
rubbing its legs in the hall
making sounds like frog

The little frog hopped on a
slippery stone,
He sat in the sun all
completely alone,
Then splashed in the water to
find his way home.
Frog sits on a rock.
Swallows a huge frightened fly.
Slips and falls, kerplop!

While watching man jog to his friend
A frog croaked a future portend
Man finished his jog
By sitting on log
And that’s how the frog met his end
He croaks as he waits
Calling for love from his pad
She answers the call
Rockman :-)
For the Haiku: Lily-pads And Frogs by Sidney LeeAnn
wet earth smells of mud
small frog swings on garden gate
creaking in the breeze
cool rain drops tap his eyelids
he sees what he wants to see
Frog legs are reputed to be
quite a tasty delicacy
I must confess, though, as for me
I prefer frogs served ~ amputeed
I’m a coqui frog from Puerto Rico.
Noisiest amphibian as you know.
I’m an inch long
With a mighty song.
My hundred decibel call scares a foe.
Frog chasing a fly
leap to catch it and plop!
In deep well he fell
my pad or your pad
croons the frog to his lady. . .
prince charming awaits
March 12, 2018 for Mick Talbot's Haiku contest: theme "frog"
Surging forward
like ocean swells,
the frog happily hopped
gingerly along its way.
Like stoppable shores,
deep and deeper holes awaited him.
An old toad stops quietly.
Stares at the house on the hill.
Noticed the new white siding?

Why do I like you? I dunno.
Maybe it's the way your bloomers show.
In your Scottish dancing clogs yer
smoother than a seal or frog's fur.
a pregnant frog croaks
imperturbable God comes
with slip of paper
Creeeek! He croaks at night.
The Fat Frog hops in green pond.
He swims in silence.

there once was an unusual dog
who always thought he was a frog
no matter how hard he tried
he could never catch flies
but kept jumping on top of a log
