nightmare central
old gooseberry in my dreams
i cannot scream
paralyzed with fright
no sounds come out
of my traitorous body
given that we are living light
child of God always shining bright

Eerie whoosh of subway train
aught but darkness in my brain
Let me sleep in starless fright
come the morn ~ Creation's light
A stop along the swamp at night
Turn off motor shut out the light
A scary sound
From all around
The sound would make a Halloween fright
The cloud's, throats of water
One against the other collide
Spitting out a torrent
On earth leaving a fright
And after, a calmness wide
