Come the Morn

Eerie whoosh of subway train
aught but darkness in my brain

Let me sleep in starless fright
come the morn ~ Creation's light

Something so evocative about 'sleep in starless fright' - makes me think of those glow in the dark stars they put on kid's ceilings to help them sleep~

Yes. Kids are often terrified of the dark. Two of mine had to have a night light on in their room at all times.

A good night's sleep! Good for you, Paula. Alas, it's but a distant memory for me...
