Bite Your Tongue
Don't say the wrong things
Don't hurt others feelings

Just bite your tongue and
Keep your lips sealed

Don't swear
Don't be insulting
Don't use foul language

Just bite your tongue and
Keep your lips sealed
For its better to not get into an argument
Over a silly little thing that you'll regret later

Love Trumps Hate
Love trumps hate,

and if rioting in the streets destroying private property,
filthy and disgusting foul language shouted and painted on signs
that small children can easily hear and read,
combined with threats of blowing up a government building
regardless of how many innocent people are inside

doesn’t prove it,

then nothing does.

Don’t you just LOVE it?

What’s that old saying about the pot calling the kettle……....

The Halloween party needed a scare
Someone said the ouija board for a dare
But bad spirits came knocking
Their foul language was shocking
And caused many to soil their underwear...

The putrid air now turned rancid and thick
And to smash it you'd have needed a brick
Then they all started leaving
As they left they were heaving
And on the rooftop laughing was Old Nick...

I Remember When
i remember when
the sky was not tainted with smoke
when the oceans were clean
and the families told jokes

i remember when
there were no worries
there were no kidnappers
when life wasn't in a hurry

i remember when
people you did not know
walked by you smiling
and saying hello

i remember when
there was no pollution
people didn't use foul language
and everyone didn't fight but created a solution

i remember when the world was a better place...............

To Be Kind
My heart fights to be kind.
It is what you will find.
For it is the way of my mind.
Even if you may be unkind,
For this makes my soul, unbind.
Even if you ever make me unwind,
All my words will be placed and lined.
However, your mind may be entwined.
My secret is to keep my mouth blind.
With strong English words inclined.
No foul language will ever be mined.
For I would rather be so defined,
Not looking forward to being maligned,
Then be gentle and kind to all humankind....

a mispelled word is like a dent
in a poem
words that don't rhyme ruin
the decorum
mistakes are no different
there like a scratch in the paint
if your serious about writing
don't use the word "aint"
extreemly bad taste can be worse
than a scar
profain and foul language
stain just like tar
dull and depressing
the dust of disdain
what message of wisdom
by reading was gained
don't blimish the finish
polish each word
poetry driven respectfully
may soon one day be heard...
