Love Trumps Hate

Love trumps hate, and if rioting in the streets destroying private property, filthy and disgusting foul language shouted and painted on signs that small children can easily hear and read, combined with threats of blowing up a government building regardless of how many innocent people are inside doesn’t prove it, then nothing does. Don’t you just LOVE it? What’s that old saying about the pot calling the kettle…….

I had not seen this!! Well done, Chris!! When I occasionally read from the list of new poems, I'm finding so much like minded train of thought...and it makes me wonder...perhaps all that has ever been and yet to be spoken, is already alive in the threads of time that speaks to those who can hear...sensitive to it... like poets. Very profound and powerful poem. I've been thinking a lot about this lately since my 5 year old nephew asked me, "Auntie Christy, what does "F#!k the government" mean?" (Although he pronounced government "gomint" lol). When we saw it painted on a sign in the park. I was appalled.

Hi Chris, I totally agree with you. Riots and such other non sense doesn't prove anything. What are "we" teaching the children(our future) with this behavior? Love the is answer. However "we" all must feel this way:-) Alexis

- Children learn from adults .... what will we teach them ... hate or love? ... - Children are our future - My thoughts go back to "Anders Behring Breivik behind the two sequential terrorist attacks in Norway on 22 July 2011" - 69 people were killed, by one human - A powerful poem, Chris - hugs //Anne-Lise :)

Thanks so much Anne Lise, yes that was a horrific tragedy and so sad. It does make you wonder where we are headed as humans, but you are right, our children learn from us and it matters what we teach them. I see all this stuff going on and I think, obviously they weren't taught right and now neither are their children. When will it end.
