From the Deep Wayra
Dirty fossil fuel
Extracted from deep earth crust
By men who risked life and limb
Today cursed by many
Gave us this civilization

Aching Love
Burning love
This fossil fuel goes unrecognized
When calculating brain
Mixed with car trouble
Causes croaking spokes to choke

All folks aside
This burning love is molting
Beyond measure
In caverns unpedaled
To preserve
The feelings in silhoutte...

The US must generate jobs
And Petroleum Inc. wants mobs
Of workers to toil
Mining more gas and oil
But from the green future this robs

Is drilling the place to invest?
Can fossil fuel use still attest
To progress desired?
The car culture it sired
Drives Earth to a state sorely stressed...

Electric Solution
Put fossil fuel to an End
Everybody just needs to Mend
We're ruining our Ozone Layer
And our Mother earth is in Despair
Lets declare no Fossil Fuels
Otherwise we are going to revise this lesson again & again
I think there's a Trick
Lets make all our cars go Electric
Maybe use the power of Solar
Help our earth's weather from going Polar...

Can't be for an old Stanley Steamer
With Bernie my car is a screamer
With magnet en route
If you see me please toot
It’s strategically stuck on my bimmer*

*This is the correct spelling for a BMW car or person. Mine is a previously-owned (many times over) 3-series with 259,000 miles that we maintain. Apologies for burning fossil fuel, but at least there is no depreciation to deal with....

What I Want For Christmas
Dear Santa,
what I want For Christmas
is for people to show more
Love towards one another
And stop the hate
I want the deformation
Of climate change to stop
And smarter decisions to be made
when using fossil fuel and gasoline
I want the destructive
Weather to stop
It kills and destroys
So many people and places
Around the world
I want people all over
The world to be happy and
Stop being angry
At one another...

We go on burning fossil fuel
thinking that nature we can fool.
No lessons do we seem to learn
as more and more carbon we burn.
Despite seeing climate warming
the see-o-two we’re still dumping.

More water vapour in the air
begins to add to our despair.
The rain is pouring more and more
and so we have flooding galore.
And now the glaciers are melting
that leads to sea levels rising.
Will our wise leaders show the way
or with self-interest will they stay?

What happens when the only light you see
Is the mainstream media’s gaslight?
It’s Plato’s Cave all over again
Except the fire throwing shadows now
Is an official gaslight torch.
Ironic tho’ given the current gaslighter’s revulsion
Of all things fossil fuel.
But gaslight it is.
Although the source of the actual gas
Is still under investigation.
My hunch, my bet, my two cents
Is that the gas in question
Is their own
Since they are all,
To put it nicely,
Full of beans.
