Right To Happiness
A right to happiness
Have I forfeited?
Taken by the gloominess
Searing pain and hatred...

Lived life without considering its worthiness,
deceived by the glamor of vain riches,
followed desire where the road ended..and what did I find?
Faces with hilarious laughter and hearts that were unkind....

The Things You Ask of Me
Like childhood friends
Remember me
The times were but good
A domain of innocence
Grant me peace
A haven we can each see
Join me, feast
The inquiry's of this
Untainted beast
A single forfeited lease
I beg of you
To see forth fit
Endeavored we be
But as grown men are haunted
We’ll play for keeps...

Explicit
There's no way in my heart again
And so many pieces to mend

You woke me as im sleeping by
And left with a wink of an eye

How unforgiving wake it was
To be fooled by a pride of guts

Packs of lie in love detested
Lots of love are all forfeited

You return never to my life
The real and fake are on a strife...

Matters of one's heart and mind conditions uninvited
confronts each of us. Hurdles and bobby traps complicate
                     our paths.

Where does one go from here ignored, discounted, or remain
consumed and forfeited or continue to persevere and hang
touch with these staying powers to master our issues....

High Way
You could have taken a different route
Lord knows it had its charms.
But that wasn't what you were about
before you were in my arms.

You forfeited friends along the way
but you scarce gave it a thought.
You let them do and be what they may
while you did everything you ought.

Thus you came to me in celestial white,
sweet, pure, faithful in every degree.
I see you still in that heaven-sent light
and live for the day you and I are we....

Without Pretense
Good or evil in life are bound by rebirth,
Denounce karma and the riddles get complex,
Anoint the mind to tame Maya's virtuosity;
Or remain detached to its novel delights?

Confronted by soured hunger in false life's pleasure,
Aesthetic desire gagged with violent anger,
Permeate forlorn and forfeited frolic cravings,
Within destructive conscious degradation;

Free the intellect from all inert senses,
Meditating to one's ultimate nirvana:...

When I Grow Old
When I grow old
Will I forget to remember
All my regrets?
Will I be kind to myself
With memories
Of a universe of time
Forfeited to fear?
When I grow old
Will phantoms fog my eyes
Will ancient ghosts sing me lullabies
Until I fall away Into dreams
Now mournful and cold?
Will I find myself awake in the dark
Praying,
Listening for that one lost beat
Of my heart?
When I grow old
Will I have the strength
To bear the weight of a world
That never was?...

Death
I sat in my lonely room.
Then I heard the noise of thunder.
There stood before me a man on a pale horse.

I immediately knew it was life’s doom.
My life was forfeited, for him to plunder.
He spoke I was shaken it was ungodly deep and hoarse.

You will be mine herald, he said to me.
Let them know that the horsemen have returned.
He gave me his scythe as proof, it filled me with dread.

For him I bent at the knee.
For him I would love to live in an earthly bed....
