Wood nymphs flittering;
All faerie wood emblazon;
Day lends length to night,
Impish pumpkins flicker winks;
As cats creep shadowed black.
Flittering all about, unknown souls - get to know them.

As the wings of a butterfly uttered simplicity,
Hues aroused in me curiosity; humble is she.
Each soul, created carefully; cornucopia eyes.

In the unplumbed depths
of whales’ deep-held breaths
a singular shaft
fired with force from the aft
twists to it end.
Deep in the dark
where reality lies stark
a flittering thought
lies unexposed, distraught
awaiting the penetrating insight.

I dreamt I was a butterfly
Or was I
A butterfly dreaming
Floating, fluttering
In delightful staccato
Up, up, down
Up, up, down
Bouncing, flittering
Dreams of spreading wings
Enrapture flowing
Free, fascinating
My soul
Enchanted
My heart
Entranced
Form:
Like a little butterfly,
Flittering here and there,
Soaring delicately,
Through the tumultuous air,
Like a beautiful blue jay,
Singing and meandering effortlessly,
Sharing its song unawaringly,
Like the mighty wind,
Unbridled and free,
That’s how fanciful,
You were meant to be.
A candle flame flickers in the dark
and a moth seduced by its light
falls into a trance;
hypnotized as it swoops and dives
waltzing with the flame's
flittering tempo,
dodging deadly kisses;
life and death partnered
in a macabre dance
of desire and compulsion.

Airy cistern reserves now spent
Each billowing mast folds its tent
Helios hurls his flaming trident
Through singed porthole flittering glint
Fiery sparks stream through each stent
Refracted waves in mercurial columns bent
Misty water colors shroud each gilded vent
Burnt orange truffles, golden ridges resplendent
At the Des Moines River’s Road End
There was a sharp tricky right bend
Prickly pines there were ready to defend
Graveled middle, a modern MODOT trend
Weeds that flittering faeries often tend
Mushroom homes, upon whom elves defend
Mother nature sat on haunches to mend
Torn sage weeds, beavers had chewed to extend.
Sandie's Moon Fairy 2
If ever I catch a moonbeam
I will put it in my hair
Where
It will sparkle and shine
Its light
When its dark in the night
And the fairies will sing
And dance in a ring
Fly up high
Flittering by
Weaving through
Strands of silver
They will shimmer
Glimmer, whisper a sigh
Then
Off they fly
Goodbye.

Tonight I saw a moth
Flittering by the lamp post
On the steps where I sat
Reliving a horrible day
Trying to escape the past
But I can't
Part of me saw myself as that
insect
Trying to find the light, the best
me
The butterfly
Part of me felt diflated and
broken
From the woman I was when I
started
But I will soon fly away
one fine day they changed places
fireflies lit daytime shadows
while butterflies splashed the night
a shrewd color scheme
bright hues and exotic moon
flittering and fluttering
pure rapture under the stars
midnight was dreaming
the firefly shadows twinkled
above the enraptured blooms
the fervent day seemed to pause
in search of the moon
As the child rolled through a field of flowers
he spotted a butterfly flittering towards the sky
and thought he might grab the thing, sprout wings
and let the beauty carry him to heaven
he jumped and stretched out his little arms
but the insect had floated out of reach
and with a thud he fell back to the soil,
sobbing to the sun.
But he had to try.
A mist the dunes and parched clay
frolicking downwind,
like dust fairies flittering about.
The reflection of my humble youth
gleams most prominently.
The sun freckled lizards,
dart to and fro in the heat.
For this reason of being,
is simply to be.
The season beckons to be dealt fair,
and true in the maze of summer.
In this mid-life arena,
I gladly embrace my dry season
A blanket of flowers
You place me upon
The scent of orchids
Held in my arms
Looking downward from tower
Your king to my pawn
Flittering of my eyelids
Deceived by your charm.
All consumed by your power
You spike the innocent fawn
Yet I don't see the morbid
As you intend my harm.
If I was to cower
To never see another dawn
Realize to late plans sordid
Entrapped in late a con.
Forever falling
As fireflies dance
amidst evergreen wishes
Lighting the skies
between soft stolen kisses
Flittering free
like the stars above shining
Lost in a moonbeam
our heartbeats entwining
On the horizon
the heavens are glowing
Star dust and shimmers
as romance is flowing
Taking your hand while
the evening is calling
In love with you I am
forever falling
After the sinking crimson sun
flushed fire on my hued horizon
the satin night drizzled silver dust,
I floated on the cascading crescendo
of your captivating cadence.
Turning into a flittering firefly
I made way on the moonbeam trail
to the firmament of your heart,
kindling the sparkle of yearning,
glowed together till the end of time.

The cool evening airs
Sweeps across her moonlit hair
Gently laying, bare her extraordinary beauty.
By a pleasant breeze of fragrant air
That blows gently across her wavey hair.
Hypnotically twisting and flittering
Curling and swirling her flowing hair
with each gentle breeze
That I could not stop but to stare
Oh Blair, My Blair
how much more can I bare,
I sit here in profound despair.
Naturally wondering
if you genuinely care.
Twinkle was a flower fairy
With gorgeous flowing wings
Flittering all around the garden
Always eyeing everything
As she sprinkled deep red roses
With the early morning dew
She saw the daisies needed some
And the pretty Asters too
She then began to gather them
And made them a lovely chain
And sprinkled it with fairy dust
So this would make them thrive again
This flower fairy had such beauty
To make life sparkle was her duty
red with the black wings scarlet songs but tiny things Flittering singing
