Twinkle the Fairy

Twinkle was a flower fairy With gorgeous flowing wings Flittering all around the garden Always eyeing everything As she sprinkled deep red roses With the early morning dew She saw the daisies needed some And the pretty Asters too She then began to gather them And made them a lovely chain And sprinkled it with fairy dust So this would make them thrive again This flower fairy had such beauty To make life sparkle was her duty

Hi Debbie,thank you so much for the lovely comment, yes I also love fairies, in fact we have some in our garden around the fish pond, they are so beautiful, I don't think Peter or I have grown up, we may be 74 but sometimes we feel like young teenagers, put it this way we try not to act old, our daughter said the other day that we are very young for oldies, so I guess we are pretty lucky, hope you are well, take care........Vera

Lovely sonnet my friend. My mother loved flowers and always reminded we boys not to ever trample her flowers. I once ran through her flower garden while playing, the spanking I got taught me to never do that again.
