Flappy ears, Ivory tusks and long trunk,
Huge elephant swirls and boom,
Cheerful, royal as a drunken chunk,
As he trumpets, stamps feet, vanishes the gloom,

dear little things,

black on your backs,

your waddle is funny

When you dive in the water
and porpoise around,

jumping back on your feet

if a bird I would choose,

wearing dinner-suit feathers
