The Hat
Fluffy is the hat
Broad is the flappy edge
Sunny is the weather
Shady and hearty is the hat
Blocking the sun heat
Blocking the wind and the sand
Hiding your face from strangers
Hiding your wrinkles from lovers
The hat on the head
Nearer to the eyes
And so to the mind
A sign of cultural prestige
A sign of costume fashion
But you must take it off
Before you bow
