Black and white lace filigree drips
Shot through by cawing crow
Tightly woven lace blocks the sun
Cold rain drips from leaves slow
Last rattling breath
The air sucked from the room
Outside a dove calls
The sky is turquoise
The moment pure filigree
Nearby the hawk sits
Cast your line into the multiverse
And catch yourself a dream,
Quantum fishing and cosmic themes,
Of love in delighted light and filigree.
~ window between us,
your breath freezes like fine lace ...
goodbye's frigid fringe ~
Fanciful filigree faerie frolics
Garnishing grateful glittery gardenias
Heavenly hope heralding
Iridescent illusions imagining
joyous jumbled jubilation
Fanciful filigree faerie frolics
Garnishing grateful glittery gardenias
Heavenly hope heralding
Iridescent illusions imagining
joyous jumbled jubilation
falling lightly, soft
snowflakes whispering peaceful
filigree wishes

filigree snowflakes
falling all the frozen night-
in the morning ice

First frost
Writes fine lines
In the filigree of spider webs.
The air is like chalk.
Grass blades sparkle
For a fleeting hour
Until the sun
Leaps over the trees,
Laps up the fog and
Licks the lawn green.

A filigree of veinlets, briefly jeweled with dew,
In mirrored pools, peeps saffron's rusty hue,
Maple’s serrated script, twirling in autumn's view,
Summer's green surrendered, in fall's golden cue,
Lifting spirits once gently, deeply subdued.

In dreams, I float with hair filigree
searching for him but he is sleeping,
his dark eyes closed, yet, he pulls me
to him bruising my lips, and whispering.
I stroke his engraved name in stone,
remembering, loving him still in death.
Silver white,
Silver white,
Not chill, not distant
No second sight.
Ancient steel, platinum band,
Flickering pin pricks,
Long blue hand.
Call the living, sing the night,
Come one, come all.
Silver white
Silver white
Shadow, filigree and light.
Snowflakes fall outside my window like filigree lace and sparkling diamonds.

Silver filigree runs down to the beach
While sunlight glints off villas and cliffs
Into the Bay of Naples
Capri
Like a cameo against cloud and sea.
Olive groves make a mosaic against the hills
While lemon trees stud the valley
With jewels among the leaves.
It began with one flake,
One perfect filigree snowflake lovely to behold,
Then there were hundreds and thousands swirling,
And soon my window ledge was a snow resting place.

Visual Verse
The summer moon now aligned
In smiling orange filigree
Spreading opulently beyond the wilds
Whilst raindrops fall from heavens spree
Raining with honeyed impulse rhymes
And undefined, brightly, in ecstacy
As quietness, overcomes, my smiles
I do now long, for autumn heraldry
The morning mist’s a pearl so pure
As ice is etched with crystal filigree
While the silvery frost ensures
A touch of tinsel on every tree
And when she dons her festive gems
Rubies, emeralds, citrines and sapphires
I cannot help but envy them
For December’s treasures I desire.
Snow falls filigree,
the flakes endlessly drifting
beyond my window-
Weeping, I pen a poem
and with emotion sketch myself . . .

filigree webbing
paper delicate
spider’s influence
spun into the night
proudly holds her own
against elements
lunch is served daily
sorry flying things
spider’s masterpiece
daintiest structure
methodically built
takes on thunderstorm
filigree webbing
genius builder
spider eats tonight
A faint and fading filigree
adorned the fairy flute.
Forbidden at the funeral,
forever to transmute.
No fugue to usher in the Fates,
flying from frozen lands;
No notes their memories to erase:
mere footprints in the sand.

Raindrops Falling
______
The raindrops fall filigree,
twirling, swirling so carefree,
dripping from plants feathery.

Snow flurries are swirling faster and faster,
soon a blanket of white covers the ground,
Robin redbreast pecks at the cotoneaster -
where bright red berries still can be found.
