Opening fresh new
A terrific time of life
Struggling pain none
Time of music festive lights
Celebrate musical might
December has come round again
Another Christmas time is near.
That time when young and old
Almost explode with festive cheer.

My mood has not been jolly,
nor has it been merry or bright.
If I go to bed and lay my head,
then maybe menopause won't bite!

Geese and Turkeys had good reason
To deplore the festive season
Since the farmer didn’t bluff
When he promised them good stuff
DECEMBER festive in evergreen
MARCH trumpets a Springtime scene
JUNE'S high moment,too,too soon
SEPTEMBER bedecked in Autumn's bloom
St. Patrick’s Day food and drink
A nice festive feast I think
lots of green beer
good mates and cheer
post-party the lot does stink
At every festive, grand occasion
Not all can join in celebration
Their minds beclouded by their sorrow
Leave them be, until tomorrow
Joyful tunes making smiles bloom.
Tender tones of the Holiday Season.
Happy hymns and decorated limbs;
Combine to create a festive palette.
summer hums song blithe
lustrous flowers emerge in
festive abundance
trees sway gleefully
pleasing breeze brings aroma
of shadowy past
Merry Christmas family and friends
Wishing you a festive holiday season
May your days be merry and bright
As you celebrate Christmas tonight.
globes and gold tinsel
balsam trees bless, a festive flair
presents await us

Double size smoked salmon bites
cheese brulee oatcakes
roast shredded duck black pudding
parmesan sables
chilli prawn platter
a festive
Fizz!
the green folliage
that once lined this country road
replaced with yellow and red
Autumn wears festive colours
for our too brief enjoyment
Mauve, pink, plum graced room
Prayers, jokes, fashion show sailed
Gourmet food, music...
Mellow; poetic treats,
Women's laughter laced sweet.

DECEMBER festive in evergreen
MARCH trumpets a Springtime scene
JUNE'S high moment,too,too soon
SEPTEMBER bedecked in Autumn's bloom
Festive centerpiece
Orange is its pure essence
With candles burning
Flowers of season abound
An autumn full ensemble

Mardi Gras bubbles with fanfare.
Glitzy wild and crazy with its effervescence.
Party city like no other.

I wore my father’s shadow
like a festive coat.
It took me long to realize
it was nothing but a blanket
with which I covered my shame
of being human.
summer
hot, festive
blistering, sweltering, blazing
picnic, fireworks, snow, fireplace
freezing, numbing, piercing
cold, festive
winter
Festive greetings
Carols ringing
Lights glistening
Gift giving
Wonderful eating
Joyful living
Tis the season
For remembering
The birth of
Life unending
Soon festive time will arrive
To remind us that Christ’s alive
Celebrate the birth
With much joy and mirth
Praise the miraculous sky dive.
My door, inviting
Warm festive Autumn colors
Fill the night senses
Orange lights cover the ground
Opening to Fall landscape
Russell Sivey
There's excitement in the air
Much to do with festive flair
Details planned for party dishes
Sharing smiles and new year wishes
