On one who wonders
About the tomorrow that was once a ten,
And now is only a five.
Life unwinds like a slowing watch
Sowing deeds good and bad behind,
‘Til a wall of impenetrable fog remains
For etching by the finger of forever.

joyous, peace-filled
ministering, sharing, leading
liberty, growth; deprivation, fearfulness
doubting, blaming, self-pitying
restless, broken-hearted

Twilight flows into night,
the blackened sky fills the mind,
lurking figures appear close by
objects distorted by the dark,
odd noises wax and wane
in the deep of the abyss,
this world is very different:
different feel, different look,
different meaning.
Fearfulness descends
and hovers above,
there is no escape,
all that is known is lost,
the dark calls for its prey...
Do you hear my voice?

The man said, we are treated as children
By almost every tradition and religion
As with goblin, gargoyle, fairy stories
Socialized into fearfulness: losing memories, lives -

Jesus taught, "I have overcome!" Recall His Resurrection:
O death, where is your sting, O "sin" where is condemnation?
Whether one meditates on space, or my beloved "Sky-ness"
Humble gurus you prefer, Pursue Peace (Shalom of Jesus)
Loss is intrusive
Deafening in its presence,
Intractable in its longevity,
Intimidatory in its fearfulness.
Boldly it gives rise to emptiness,
Serving no master!
Wishes scattered abroad for encompassing
memories long gone,
Experiences indelibly imprinted!
Kindnesses, love, lifetimes gone;
Dreams, notions, passions unfurled;
Missions, relationships, friendship alone
Reveal viscid qualities to a persona hurled.
