Only Through Faithfulness

the
sun
no longer
rises in the east
oh lord
we
really need
an ocean of peace
and
it shall come
only
through
faithfulness

Beautiful Linda Became a Nun

Beautiful Linda became a nun,
prayed in the Chapel forgiving John
who swore her faithfulness
with very solemn words...
she did not know that he was a con!

Him

How did this man steal my heart?
I love him so much, I can't even start.
All his craziness,
All his faithfulness.
I love this man, each and every part.

Premium Member I Shall Not Love Thee but in Summertide

I shall not love thee but in summertide,
Nor only in the blush of fragrant spring;
I shall not love thee but when sorrows hide:
To time and tempers all, my heart I bring.

Trust

Trust

Trust them but not silently
Sing songs of love and harmony
Silently give away to them all
Sing songs of trust and friendship
Sing songs of companionship and faithfulness

All consuming
a frame of mind
a place of peace:
simple love
assured
tender
guileless
welcomed with open
arms;
gestates,then

A poetized 'shaggy dog story' of the universal relationship of faithfulness & sadness of eternal separation.. suddenly realised & put into words as an epitaph in shapeless irregular lines .

To Giveth Thy Soul Sweet Light

oh lord
all
i
ask
but
one slice of bread
to
fulfill all my needs
but
instead
through
faithfulness
i
am sure
and
still, are
i
only need
a tiny morsel of bread
to
give thy soul sweet light

Violet Heart

my broken heart
shivers in water waiting
hypothermic for the inclusion
of loneliness devoted
as satellite hands end
in faithfulness blind
and burnt as a violet
beneath a Saharan sun
engaged to violence

Faith - Quincrosticain Poetry Contest

Faith is trust in the things that we can't see;
An expression of great hope like a pray.
In faithfulness, hearts and minds can be free
To feast with pride, and to love and be gay.
Heaven waits for those who have faith to lay.

Female Persuasion

Soft, warm, and sweet, pleasing to the eye and touch!
All the physical things that this man needs and desires..,
It seems cruel that by divine order a man is limited
                                              to only one..,

Like all that have come before,
Spring 26 comes to bring us more.

As steady as a sunrise;
As glowing as a sunset;

She whispers dedication to me
She sings life and faithfulness

So stunningly, she comes every year,
Bringing buds, blossoms, and beauty

After her husband’s death,
The Countess Antoinette de
Bethune Palogne,
lived twenty-five years alone.
Each day to show her faithfulness,
She did the oddest deed.
To her husbands skull kept on her desk,
From his favorite two books she would read.

A Soldier Boy's Flag

Bright curious eyes…
He watches it parade past

With soft morning words…
He promises his faithfulness

Standing straight and tall…
He renews his oath with a salute

With a shoulder slung rifle…
He defends and protects it

Now adorning his casket…
He has given his life for it

The Keys of Love

When the heart is locked
with love's padlock
safe
secured
like a prison
a cell's door closed
who else can enter ?
when keys hidden
no spare keys found
not near around
but loyalty
if goes with faithfulness
are best keys of love
they open the locked heart.

Premium Member An Easter Poem

The wonderful time of rejuvination is here.
Easter is for reverencing the Holy One.
Reflect, repent, and be of good cheer.
To God we owe great gratitude for sending Christ, His Son.
Owing to our faithfulness, we shall have no fear.
God’s Son died and resurrection for us then was won!
