Wheel of Wealth

Wealth is a wheel which
vice and virtue turning well.
Solo vice follows,
fain to the wealthy abodes.
Why the virtue left behind?

Repetition Is Not Truth

A once esteemed party was fain
To cry ‘Racist!’ again and again
Not now and again
But NOW and AGAIN
Til it made neural paths in their brain

No

Naughty children just know,
Nice people fain forget,
Negative “no” tells us,
Neighbours all as we stand.
Neat boundaries are set,
Needs are plainly expressed,
Natural and now clear.

The Pessimist Argued That All Women Are Whores

The pessimist argued that all women are whores,
He spoke with a tear, with a unconcealed pain.
The optimist listen to him with a hidden fain,
He rubbed his hands with a wish to explore!

Fulfillment Of A Purpose

I heard a still small voice
prompting me to write poems to uplift, inspire.
Not my choice.

My inner guide
directed me to try, aspire.
A stride.

Attained.
Published the quire.
Fain!

I heard a still small voice
directed me to try, aspire.
Fain!

All About Me

Eugenia, delight
Bold, fiesty, fiery
Daughter of God,
Lover of music, sculpture, bards
Teacher of mercy, mercy, kindness, concern
Fearing man, yourself, the world,
Who would like to see rivers, mountains, plateaus

The Captive Heart

Captive of the heart
You are a willing prisoner
You fain the life, a poet's soul
And bristle when love, like writers block
Amplifies the anguish
And tolerates your impotence
Above all, time is not a comfort
It ticks down louder and slower
Until time stops and stills it's beat

No difference

Singing sweetly and peacefully!
Although the lyrics are squarely of pain.
Every night I close my eyes calmly!
Although I know the morning is simple and plain.

Seasons change and giving up slowly!
Just left behind with harmless rain.
Neither the doors nor windows open, surely!
Looking for a war because I am fain.

A Dawn of Beauty

Amber - sunshine arises in the east
To clamber - to the top, fain to feel Mother Nature.
Lavender fragrance butter bees, butterflies, hummingbirds
With a splash of nectar that swirls round, farther
A calm pensive melody of breathless banter

The Winnowing Or

THE WINNOWING

Wake of harvest, came time for winnowing
Separation loosing chaff from the grain
Bake of bread that gave them a bestowing
Creation: body nurture that they’d fain
Make in life, a time for spirit growing
Valuation of virtues not to strain
Then we might cherish food for soul above
When we winnow, retain the grain of love

an some other undesired fain
thou will is yet all i long to touch

And Crowns Crumbled To Dust

Re : Old Poems

Bells of triumph clang, Fortresses fain to hail thee Men of valiant swords. Glories thence fell, crowns crumbled To dust, no wailings were heard. ,, The wind about thy sceptre howl and cry, Loft precipices trampled; Ruined rich piles of graves. ~ Forms : Tanka / Kimo (3/21/2012)

Kismet Unfurled

Gossamer adorned
Knotted love-laced bows
Neatly wrapped and scorned
Words carefully chose.

We dance this refrain
Dream-like sleep induced
Guided quick to fain
Promises seduce.

Pages rip transformed
Immortalized prose
Lover’s dreams performed
Reconcile compose.

Beyond broke to strain
Disguised truth abstruse
Blend until disdain
Kismet love reduced

A Dimming Sky

I stand amidst a dimming sky,
adorning nigh my wandering eye.
Serene it seems to feel autonomous.
Though: yet and still remains annonymous,
the one who holds my heart fain.
I wait in silence where my soul has lain,
for her alluring anatomy to enter my gaze.
Only to cherish as an angel throughout my days,
and never shall i go awry.
For you i wait.
Amidst a dimming sky.

Yellow Flowers of the Tree

Divine children of God ye,
Yellow flowers of the tree
Fain blooming, I see,
Happy flowers of the tree
Manifesting the beauty of lovely winter,
Beautiful flowers of the tree
Raining lovingly on God,
Lovely flowers of the tree
Yellow like Helianthus,
Yellow flowers of the tree
Want to meet the golden sun?
Sunny flowers of the tree
A lesson to humanity in a cute way,
Oh! Divine flowers of the tree

to write or not to write

To write or not to write
Is that not the question
Whether to shed blood
In guise of metaphor
Or curl the tainted words
Ball-like upon the floor
To cast the spell of rhymes
Quick dancing step
Upon a metered cadence
Without breath
NAY, we must shout
ALAS, lest chaos reign
Within despondent hearts
Such folly fain
To be or not to be
T’was ne’er the quest
Perhaps with tongue in cheek
The Bard did jest

Forget-Me-Not, Or My Writing As a 12 Year Old

I live in quiet meadows,
at turnings where you fain would stop.
Though admiring eyes are turned on me,
None heeds my pleas of “forget me not!”

And you, you walk (or run, or skip)
down your sunny path,
but I remain amidst the grasses,
through the evening’s light show and the morning’s bath.

And oh! I long just once to see
what lies beyond this field,
but you will not remember me
and my roots this ground will not yield.

A Circle of Gifts

rondelet

Please, take my gift
for giving harvests joy in me;
please, take my gift.
Men wage war, wandering adrift;
such folly I am fain to flee.
A smile is what I need from thee
please, take my gift.

I’ll take your gift
if it accords some peace to thee
I’ll take your gift.
Your sunshine grants my soul a lift
and gives you pleasure too, I see.
With "Thank You ~ You’re Welcome” from me,
I'll relay your gift.

Changing of Guard

Morning grows brighter as nearer comes night
And I was no spectator
Ushered to the door though I fain would fight
And saw the longer shadow
Of those coming and coming until some were gone
And the rest kept going
While all would come and go, come and go and dawn
Was only sunset coming.
I thought I was at a revolving door when earlier I came
But not one who past me
Here, came again. I saw upon the scroll another name
Writing a new old history.

Memories

My memory’s worth cannot be measured, sometimes it brings with it some regret. Some I have filed and they are now treasured, the unpleasant one’s I’ve endeavored to forget. But from unpleasant things I can also fain, and experience has been my classroom teacher. So that I always know what not to do again, the same mistake would be a double feature. No heart holds any secrets, because our tongues can’t keep one. Tom

Return As I Again

Return as I again,
With daring striking in my chest,
Another circuit open chain,
Then stop to rest,
Procrastinate, a cover for refrain.

Watching time pass again,
I wonder would it be somehow,
My season comes to preordain,
The time is now,
Shoot flaming straight, destroy excuses lame.

But fate relieves again,
The urgency that I would feel,
For courage in my heart to fain,
To make it real,
What kind of chance, could I then ascertain?

October's First

Sun, relentless
Son, I can see the glossy haze
radiating from your fingertips.
A warmth unimaginable.
Delicate.
Childlike.
Pure.
I watched you count the number of
time(s) the waves
thundered against the rocks.
Usurped by the number One, you cried
“Ouch!”
On the second you begged me,
Stop their pain,
stop my pain.
What could I do
but turn you away.
“Do you want ( a distraction)
to try rollerblading? “
He fain did accept,
…with feigned interest.

Trust’s Last.

Conflicted

Conflicted

Could it be possible to fain ambivalence ?,
in a world full of pain, in pain without romance
and love from the heart and soul of one's desire.

All the while, this one's heart is still on fire,
pining away for the one who, a funeral pyre
is the last place this heart, she has relegated.

Realization !, that is where this one has been fated
to live out his end days in quiet desperation.
For so many, it has become our coarse, our destination.

Differentiated From Satellite

Who told me you're a lazy

They make me everything easy.

Who called me a crazy yak

They advanced me to mind work.

Who is defrauding me in the shop

They are teaching me to wake up.

Who is hurling  at me  words of pain

They are telling me to get ready to fain.

Who is interfering with my  activity

They allowed the opportunity to involve in the jollity.

Whom  looking at me with eyes of disparate

They notified me that you are differentiated from satellite.
