Another Poem About Grass
the grass is strangled
by brown
Too Many have written
extolled the virtue of weeds
But I!
feel the weight of transition
green to khaki
and dead-
brown....

I do not know?
The Hefner Prophecy
Men are attracted
To all that jiggles
But ladies prefer
Something that wriggles
So critics extolled
Exquisite squiggles
And God collapsed
In a fit of giggles!...

Lisa
She did not ire against the fading light
The mystery of death did not perplex
But comforted her enervated soul
As she acquiesced to fate
Her last words extolled the joys of life
And love
And the sunset...

House Arrest
Kidnapped by the Muses,

Lips of Conviction
Easy indications
From a silent urging
Of its own genesis
Celebration sounding
Flowing on high
Extolling divine tribute
Questions posed heavily
Of good and evil
Dawn and dusk answers
Endless cycles define
An extolled purity
Borne of spirit upon lips...

Released
As days wind into moments
sped away too soon -
So memories injunction is a road
so walked upon - but in unfold.
I walk, unwittingly into self-controlled,
and breaking free - remember thee,
the moments we did hold
released to me again ... in truth's extolled!...

St Valentine
St. Valentine was a
loving saint – saw only
love, rejecting all hate –
considered love a blessed
fete – his purpose and his
mission. He extolled
the healing nature of Christ;
mixing spiritual intimacy with
man's usual rice – Proclaiming
Christ His Messianic lover –
both Bride and Groom, the
the Ultimate Wedding, and
the Ultimate Bloom.......

Life is a song
Truly life is a song, if we sing along,
irrespective of fate as it may unfold,
choosing right over wrong, resolute and strong,
our vibrant innocence both playful and bold,
abides in the heart, for that’s where we belong,
aura glowing with light, in scriptures extolled.
Flowing gently in mode embrace and release,
blissful presence has no demons to appease....

Ask the Magi
Vol 1.
Well, go ask the Magi,
and you may be extolled.
Yet, he may say you're crazy,
He's, three Millennium old.
Then, I went to the Magi,
with this question to pose.
If most opinions mean nothing
though everyone has some.
The Magi replied,
"don't,stand down wind Son".
The Magi is Wise,
the Magi is knowing.
Yeah, I'm half crazy,
And the MagI has Spoken....

Kaddish For My Bookseller Friend
Glorified and sanctified
by all these tomes,
blessed and praised, exalted,
extolled and honored,
adored and lauded
in the name of these wondrous vintage books,
acclaimed
in the name of poetry and science fiction
and lost race adventures,
sorrows and consolations,
abundance and peace,
dreams and losses
and dreaming still in celestial libraries,
Amen....

In Another Time
In a time of living loving loud
Where memories made were galactic gold
You're serene smile through a clusterous cloud
And our journey enviously extolled
Oh how I pray to turn back time
To have you in our precious hold
But time turns me like a clocking chime
As the past is left to memorially mould.

Raindrops Mixed With Tears
Raindrops paint a muted reflection on my front window pane.
Wails come from a thunderous sky; I wipe away my tears again.
The summer sun melts my mask and a still breaking heart.
Raindrops fall cleansing the earth, I resign to make a fresh start.
Violent storms defined my summer, autumn rain renews my soul.
Drops create a clear reflection, a smile and precious life extolled....

Congress
I hear their almighty roar!
Lions pontificating on the Senate floor.
I see wolves prowling the House chamber;
Howling to create a national anger;
Media circus masters have them controlled,
In the big tent they’ve both extolled.
Matters not who is in the majority;
Expanding authority, always the priority;
Acts restricting freedom and prosperity;
Do not represent my constituency;...

Summer Born
A birthday is a time for great rejoicing
for gifts of beauty from heart and hand untold
to laud with laughter ev'ry sweetheart's voicing
with prayerful words let life's virtues be extolled.
So let's, raise a glass and toast the summer sweet
with honeyed words and images from dreams complete
with Health, and Wealth, and Fame and ribald story
letting our dearest friends find morning's glory....

Money Follows Value
In the realm where dreams collide,
A golden truth begins to rise,
Money follows where value resides,
In the world's discerning eyes.
Thirty minutes each passing day,
Devoted to your chosen way,
With training - guidance to display,
Expertise blossoms, come what may.
The world, it yearns for what you hold,
Your worth, a treasure yet untold,
For time and wisdom, you'll be extolled,
Embrace the opportunities unfold....

My Schmatta
Many years ago, my aunt,
Who’s always loved to knit,
Made a shawl for me with fringes –
Not my color, I’ll admit.
Yet it’s toasty warm and large enough
To drape around and stay
Without the need to hold it up;
I wear it every day.
A schmatta means a rag
Or else a garment that is old
But there is much affection
For this shawl that I’ve extolled.
See, my aunt’s made me replacements
In the colors I prefer
But they’re rarely worn because
To my dear schmatta I defer....

Nature's Dance
Red ball of fire at the edge of the sky
Sinking slowly as its light begins to die
Birds and animals seek shelter in your fading light
Hiding from the cold and fearsome night
Delicate flowers close and fold
Hiding colors long extolled
Stars drift across the darkness
Giving a beauty to the world’s bleak starkness
Morning comes and the fire ball rises
Lives and colors return in all their many guises
Such is the cycle of night and day
Nature’s dance, an eternal ballet...
