Our Bodies
OUR BODIES

Our bodies
are practically entrances
and exits
for the open-
ended drama of gore.
Even in the grave,
worms, white
as if practically all fat,
loot us dry....

To Hold You...
Your beauty entrances me,
Giving way to free will.
To hold you in my arms,
For even longer still.

To taste the sweetness,
Upon your lovely lips.
To hold you so very close,
With my hands upon your hips....

October Sweepings
Thresholds curl into entrances where damp crows circle. I can see through the hedge where the wind is barelegged. A groundhog carries sparrow bones from the bare shelves of dawn. Halloween will be late this year the dead are still dying.

Love and Death

Inseparable these are..
Inseparable and pointing
To the knowing
Of who we are..
Death points to our
Frantic or calm
Entering and departing..
Love stands still
While noticing how our
Entrances and departures
Left unimpeded
Do not linger at all......

Recycled Treasure
My heart has accepted every piece of furniture
you have brought in and hoarded, polished and stored,
for show or hidden in the attic of cerebral storage.

Cobwebs draped the entrances I walked through
without wincing, chasing extinguishing light…
gold tarnishing possibilities that I found invaluable....

Our True Song
When I'm with you,
you sing to me a heartbeating song.
Your sweet voice entrances me.
Relaxed in your embrace,
I begin to sing with you.
Our voices harmonize the most amazing tune.
Heartbeat to heartbeat;
lips to lips;
the last verse is sung and we come to the end.
The lyrics stop,
and the melody fades.
The song is over....

Mourn the Poems
a page is such a cold place
pen has a sage who delves for inner face truth's
the page entrances with silent mocking
word thought dances just outside the blocking
the sage thirsty now craves sweet success
but only digs graves in the sheets of paper white
mourn the poems never born
sorrowful worlds in the words
sage now sleepwalking
his empty words never talking...

I Miss the Way
I miss the way
———————-

I miss the way you looked through me, I miss the times so cautiously, the way you briefly smile, reminding me to stay a while, our glances, entrances, our chance is, however brief, with your heart ill play the thief... I miss the way you made me feel, on the way home tonight I reel, from back to front, why be so blunt... The way I feel... Is real!...

Confections
Bright blue sky with glowing white clouds
  theatrics of the heavens please
  heart and mind into solace.

Entrances spirit to fly away
   and leave this earthly home
     to realms unknown.

Rescuer of the vagabond
the empty stomach has found a friend
   among the drifter's roads.

Rainbow bright amid the rain
  colorful with promises
  confection of creation!...

ready to live my life

ready to say goodbye to sadness

and welcome happiness

to soar into the sky

and dive into the ocean

to feel the wind against my face

i welcome the raindrops

to cleanse my body

the sunlight entrances me

My Experience In the Hospital Campus Tunnels
Iron monsters
with bearded men astride,
stir a whirlwind
crashing past me howling warnings
then evanesce into silence.

A man dressed
like an angel
concludes by saying, "take care"
before sallying forth
down the long cement block corrider.

I walk through the tunnel,
surrounded by multicolored tubes.
Figures in uniforms grow near then diminish
into vanishing point
entrances to new encounters....

A New Place of Peace
Entrances with a name,
Cities with a name,
We have a name!
Let us take a chance
To give our entrance a facelift,
A sandblasting and polishing!
Our name, too, must be engraved
For the season ahead
With the Name above all names!

We'll stand on the land
Where we were once scarred,
And go through the blockade
To the other side.
Stepping into a new place of peace,
Our path will be secured and blessed....

Your Love Is Like Magic
Your love is like magic that entrances my soul
Casting spells upon me from your heart of gold.
Just one wave of your magic wand,
And poof! A second later I am gone!
When I hear, “Hokus pokus ala kazoo,”
My heart skips a beat and wants only you.
The love that ensues is a passionate potion
That springs from a well of untapped emotion.
My future looks bright because I’ll spend it with you.
You’re in all that I love and in all that I do....

The Crystal Gaze
Just behind the crystal gaze

wrest with defeat and crumbled name

know me though you cannot see

Silver ghost haunting me.

shadows passing mind to mind

A thought to hide forbidden

and while peering eyes to eyes

the random hope is hidden .

Oh haste defeat this vexing stare

This would unshackle you .

The crystal Gaze entrances all

Wipe your eyes and seek for truth .

The trumpet blows
Starts tapping toes
People start to sing

The drummer drums
The guitarist strums
The place begins to swing

The music entrances
Encouraging dancers
To get up on the floor

They wriggle and writhe,
Tango and Jive
Some just clap or sway

Everyone's moving,
Laughing while grooving
Why do we act this way?

Why is music,
So therapeutic?
Affecting one and all,

A sense of Rhythm
Is God-given
Which makes life a ball....
