An Engraving On a Stomach
An engraving on a stomach
a doctor carves up a picture
on a stomach
it is his block by stone
in the light from a surgery
this engraving in the skin
is his masterpiece
and looks like one ski trail
over the stomach...

While claws of full moon pierce the lanes, beware

For Hallow slakes on a witching twilight,

Ghoulish tricks from dark shadows choke the air

Engraving beams with ripped imprints of fright!

walk by the burial ground
ubiquitous queues of lichen
awninged tombstones string out

engraving summarizes
bold subheading
who was adored by whom

I slide the dainty floret stipends
turn into gleams
scattered embers
riding the withdrawn wind

Respect All
Respecting everyone is important to all,
Engraving in the importance; before you speak;stall.
Sporting the models of a greater being,
Perfection will never be found in anything.
Enough wording to use your mannors,
Connect the meanings as the planners,
Talk in peaces; talk to all; and use RESPECT....

The Path We Walk Along
Paving a road of two identities
will anoint figure to stained air

Fabricating a path to completion
will unify abstraction with muse

Engraving a dream into reality
will create bliss in one soul

Carving chaste into immoral clay
will embellish tints of whim and choice

Inventing verity inside of one man
will adjust the balance of all....

o the vast lawns of white stones silent....as a sparrow
tends her new clutch

only in engraving they speak soldier's names....and
the wars they fell in

men and women of brave....as the bugle weeps in
taps too young in sleep

hearts in cadence stilled....wars are storming
bastards of fire roaring death

soldier's stories whispered in....aligned standing
rows of everlasting...

Empowerment
Empowered
But only for the moment
Sold into this world
But we think we own it
Big man with a gun
Shaking his fist
The double-edged sword
Attached to his hip
It hurts just as much without
As it does within
His words roll right off the tongue
Piercing the skin
Engraving the blade
Read the etches and believe
What they say, if you agree
It's a short way to the grave
But only then will you see...

The blind fiddler plays
enrapt in his tune;

His wife sits
warm in the melody
of a strange hearth;

Their baby child
does not cry;
hunger is a constant song;

The eldest son stands
gripped by the fire's
lyric of security ~

After bread and coin is received
the vagabond family moves on.

Harmony
She sat, curved over the high red wall,

the rain fat about her face and shoulders

and straining off her naked toes like liquid fire.

She sang, waterlogged as her breath or bare skin,

her lips heavy with meaning and her lashes with faith, and

her hips engraving themselves in ridges like stutters

as her notes drenched the sky right back –

fell through worlds into his hungry mouth

as he screamed prayers from his knees in the dark.

discordant melodies, all....

Ghost Words
The cold grey slabs
Lean in sorrow as I
ponder the engraving
That distant sound of memory
Therein that holds the man
Albert Browning

So young, so young,
But still he lived to have a wife
Who lies beside
Who lived beyond
Nurturing offspring in his absence

That long since life
Did he laugh in sunshine
Or cry in pain?
Did the bell toll noon
Or darkness hide his demise?

I look and wonder at this
Death and know that one day
Soon
Someone will reflect at my
epitaph...

With Us Wants To Share
With Us Wants To Share

God is here, there and all around
With Him we are safe and sound
Will remain sane and so secure
Troubles in life able to endure.

We become thoughtful and modest
God helps us to do our very best
Of ourselves to others we will give
With every one learn how to live.

God is present in our each prayer
For us, He does continually care
Place in heaven has been saving
Name on door He is engraving.
