White Stones Silent

o the vast lawns of white stones silent....as a sparrow tends her new clutch only in engraving they speak soldier's names....and the wars they fell in men and women of brave....as the bugle weeps in taps too young in sleep hearts in cadence stilled....wars are storming bastards of fire roaring death soldier's stories whispered in....aligned standing rows of everlasting

I'm with Panagiota below. I would have made this POTD as well. Moving, poetic tribute to those who gave their lives. Faith and Strength, Gershon

Excellent…….were it it in my power, would have given this a POTD. And all those reads …..prove my pioint. I really, really dont understand the selfishness of the poets who read this!!! Whose time, so dang valuable, they cant comment!,that sucks………Even a simple thank you, would do.! Shame on you all! A beautiful write, Regina. Pangie xx

such sadness in war...the lives lost, the mourning families. The last two lines were poignant and created the image of the silent white stones (gravestones). Well done, Regina! Faving

Sad one. I know that are so many mothers and fathers in places of war that are weeping for their sons and daughters who have passed in the throes of fighting. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Sara K

Thank you so much, Sara. It's mostly the youth who fight and many fall in these tragic wars. The Lord's Love & Light to you
