One Autumn Night
I looked at the moon on this autumn night.
I thought I saw a sad face on it.
Because Autumn was about to end on this one autumn night.

You're the King of my heart
It's not fair; this monarch
I want control of my soul
I'm destined to rule
I'll commit treason if I have to
Which might end on a platform

to begin at the end, on the other side of pretend
we toast all that once was but could never be again
while in the shadows of our merry feast,
lurks all that mattered the least

THE JOURNEY
Every voyage is staged whether brief or a mortal adventure
Starting with separation, leading to an end on arrival
There is gain and loss; seek embarkation for life is the journey

And this will end on the common ground
Where the jets take off.
Champagne blistering in the sun.
Our muscles still hung with heavy worry
Over and around our laughter.
Looking around at each other.
Still waiting for spring.

Its my time get up and praise
with God on my side I always give grace
the time of year where I shine the brightest
but this isnt the highest
my life is going to end on the decsions I make
but who knows how long thats going to take

I do not know?
Happiness lies within
If ure able to capture it
While U continue to spin
Completely out of control
Life’s gone as I know
The addiction goes
From half to whole
The end on the horizon
U can see it coming
A funny thing happens
Ure not afraid of dying

Once lived a Montgomery La Verve
He met his end on a winding curve
He was driving too fast,
With his hand in his lap
The rumor was that he was a perv.

[His epitaph simply reads:
Montgomery La Verve (1950-1995)]

Writing down my feelings
Mental health healing
Writing down my actions
Nothings a distraction
She looks pretty in blue
She's too good for you
Always looking around
You’ll end on the ground
Looking for the dog?
Try throwing his log
If you find the cat
Name it pat

t's a good new day
in Jesus
and everything's everything
okay everything's grand
and all good and kind
even in bad and hard times
Jesus got us
His love for us
it didn't end on the cross
rest in assurance
He never left or leaves us
sweet Jesus

N-inth of July early morn
I-s leaving the night behind;
C-old chilling raindrops
A-re causing you a worried mind.
M-ove forward and sail on,
A-s you begin the journey;
B-ravery of the spirit
I-s a fine sight to see.
T-riumph is in sight,
A-lthough the waves rock the boat;
S-tart weathering the storm,
A-nd end on a high
N-ote.

Behold, the dawn comes with thy mercies ever renewed!
Bathed in the light of hope thy love O Lord shineth through!
Thy faithfulness endureth without end; on thee alone shall I depend.
Tho' I have dwelt in the house of mourning and sorrow hath
walked with me thou hast never forsaken me.
My confidence O Lord is in thee; thy grace sufficient for me!

Testing and toying with a new skill,
Recently discovered just over that hill,
Not knowing yet if there could be any danger,
Still seems like a good way to release any anger,
New things constantly being found,
You just have to look and move things around,
So just be careful and everything will be fine,
Now i'll leave you to search as i end on this line

There was a Jewish man from Andorra
Who singed his rear end on a menorah
Sparks flew to his feet
Providing this treat
He sure danced one mean Chanukah hora
__________________________________________________
Notes:
A menorah is the special Chanukah lamp lit for eight nights
The hora is a traditional Jewish/Israeli celebratory circle dance

Limerick
Your screams have been heard. Attention drawn
From all corners of earth. But like the parable of
Christ, it falls on rocky ground. Growth grounded.
The envisaged
Struggle,
Dissent,
All - risible.
Wait for sunlight if the moon doesn't
Provide enough light to see your path.
The sisyphean path of forlorn hassle.
Your seed
Of protest
Will end on
Rocky path.

Shape
Tick-tock and then chime;
Our life-clock beats
Our precious time out,
As it slowly depletes.
No-one can know when
Their own 'clock' will stop,
Will it end on a tick ...
Or will it end on a tock?
Each hour on the dot
Our clocks clearly chime,
To remind us all
Of our passing time.
Use your time wisely,
For ye know not when,
As engraved on the sun-dial;
On the church at St Wenn.

Trump or Fauci – take your pick –
Only one can make you sick.
One is fiction, one is science –
Choose which one deserves reliance.
MAGA crowds, so quickly riled,
Love to see their foes defiled.
“Fire Fauci!” they start chanting
As their leader keeps on ranting.
I’m so tired of this fight
So let it end on Tuesday night.
If Biden wins, we can be sure
We’ll hear from Fauci that much more.

My feet are freezing in this forest tonight. I wish I had worn my extra socks. Through the tree there is a light. A scream pierces the air. Hair stands on end on my neck. A werewolf? A bobcat? Mountain lion? I begin to walk faster, expecting to die in boots with freezing feet.
scream pierces the night
mountain lion or brave bobcat
my hair stands on end

Winter can oft seem cruel,
Her proud head held high to rule.
Will her reign end on this side of forever?
But the trees left forsaken and dead,
Will lift up their whispering heads.
Nothing can last forever.
A tendril of hope carries on,
After darkest night comes the dawn.
The cycle of time continues forever.
Never say all hope is lost,
In Spring there is bound to be frost.
Let love remain in your heart forever.

I do not know?
The frozen male gamete is injected into the
bovine beast of burden and succour.
Months later, through the miracle of mitosis, a
juicy cut of prime passes through the birth canal, both
beautiful and bloody.
Steadfast child of some eastern divinity, I have faith that this creature was born
to meet his end on some surgical-steel golgotha,
and nourish me as bits and pieces cut and portioned on my dixie plate!
-note-
I am not a vegetarian.

My dear beautiful Rose
the sky becomes darker on this cold night .
The world becomes grey but you shine ever so bright .
Beauty in its purest form, as the shadows crept into my life I became my darkness ... A demon was born,
Tho to you there was no evil in sight ;
You gave up a few of your petals to help me through the storm . In the end on that dark cold night,
You let me pick you from the dirt,
killing you softly just so I could see the light .
