Power of Words

Ideas can generate a war, guns and bombs are used to destroy. Words arranged eloquently can make Peace. ~ Greg Stanley 2011 ~

God Eloquently Declared An Edict

God Eloquently Declared An Edict

God eloquently declared an edict;
What about Trump He will predict,
Was thine,
Not mine;
Of interest did end up in a conflict.

Something Eloquently Swords

Something eloquently refers
I have known rivers
stealthily nighttime
just dreaming.
A complex figure will stir you
Lofty brow swallows
Days to sleep bleed
of blunt instruments
a small hiccup

The Blood of a Thousand Tomatoes

Slowly moving, so eloquently in black and white
Killing the verve; in the cool, still fall night
Unique with a foul stench
No K-9 warning labels
Kindness requires; bathing you, in the blood of a thousand tomatoes

The Art of Deception

A paint of white within a black canvas
A haiku of lies
A silver lining underneath animation
A photograph cropped
A wall paper hidden under new paint
A speech too eloquently given
Together, they become art's montage

Restful Flight

Flight
Unfolds
To reach high
Higher, higher
Freedom in the sky
Only soft clouds around
Soaring in peace with wing span
From here to there and everywhere
Gliding ever so gently to be
A soul at rest, floating eloquently

Ohm Sweet Ohm (Tribute To Kraftwerk)

Ohm sweet ohm. Home sweet home.
Through computer cascades I roam.
Introspective resonances fade.
As quickly and eloquently as the plans I made.

Infomercials resist and persist in my head.
Ohm's reverberate until i'm dead .
Sweet shifting breezes in my mind.
Ohm how I despise your rotten kind.

Farmer Fred the Raconteur

Farmer Fred the raconteur
I’ve often said is full of manure
When spinning yarns of yesteryear
His tales grow taller beer by beer
He orates on about three little pigs
Elucidating eloquently on their building of digs
In Fred’s varied version there is not a wolf
The malefactor being a malcontented oaf

Becoming One Together

My darling ELOQUENTLY WHISPERED in DULCET tones “I Love You”

as she lay TRANQUIL once more in the SPLENDOR of BLISS,

while a pair of Mourning Doves offered LILTING songs of peace and love

to be carried on the breeze, like the WAFTING of FRAGRANT LAVENDER

that often bathes us in the serenity of our afterglow.

Martin Luther King, Jr

The late, great Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., also known as "Dr. King"
        His legacy and sledgehammer impact on civil rights, long-lasting

     In 1963, he eloquently delivered his iconic speech, "I Have A Dream"
Long-gone, yet his love light for humanity continues to gleam.

Snowballing

Only thirty-three tries times ten plus three,
not a sacred sweep more or a line less;
That looks like an angel number to me;
Numerology with style to impress
whispers gently speaking eloquently;
‘Writers bring the world fervor and finesse.
As the Muse sends torrential stars falling,
onto the page letters land snowballing.’

The River

I wish I were a river
How beautiful I would be
With a flowing mane of green water cress
To wave so eloquently

To lie upon my back all day
And feel the winds pass by
To see them stirring in the trees
As it billows through the rye

Glorious is the river
As I sit beside its flanks
Oh, what a perfect picture
This regal river makes

Intrigued

Intrigued..
Mesmerized by the beauty of eyes..
A deep trance..
Deeper then an ocean..
Astonishment and captivation..
Intense glare that speaks..
Speaks to the soul..

A magnetic electricity..
Magical communications..

Intrigued by the fascination
Eloquently embraced by the depths of the soul..
The beauty of eyes..

An open window to the soul..

Depends Upon Devotion

Effervescent words liberating common sense
Eloquently spoken seeded sheer suspense,
Silence overcame an audience surprised
As meaning of the message wasn't compromised.
Articulate speech powered by a notion-
The quality of being depends upon devotion,
Ironically an infant's laugh caught everybody's ears
And baby’s coos and mothers love stimulated cheers.

Vignette-Love and Devotion

Elizabeth Barrett Browning, born 1806,
Extraordinary Poetess, daughter, sister, wife, Abolitionist
Confined for a time yet her heart, mind and spirit
Roamed free beyond her environment, espousing, expressing
Love and devotion so eloquently in beautiful Sonnets

Dew Drops

Heavens blessing on earth
Raining on an eve mood
A little girl dancing
Like a peacock steps
Shadow of rainbow
Coloured eloquently
If this pour can wash my heart
When the rain comes
I think about you
I control myself when you arrive
You are my desire of survive
Dewdrops lightning in the light
When I listen closely
I hear your heartbeats
Rain come with my memories..

A Damask Rose

A Damask Rose displays

Dizzying swirls of velvet petals;
Amid the greenery, as she plays.
Magnificently among the nettles;
And beauteous is her facade.
She’s really quite aromatic,
Sensual scented gift of God...
Kunzite sculpture enigmatic.

Reveling in her piquancy,
One becomes quite mesmerized.
She sings her beauty eloquently;
Evocatively touches my eyes.

The Shadow

Artistic ovation so eloquently delivered
Scantly clad ambers of happiness
Explosion of animosity
Despair spoils the spectacular decadence
Brazen Amethysts delight
But darkened geodes decays my lullaby
And Leaves a angry corpse
The ghost of yesterday is the entity of tomorrow
It follows behind me and masquerades as my friend
But the foe seeps out and reveals himself
Deadly clout, I am powerless.

Summer

Summer
~~~~~~
A time of year that I get the blues
That would be summer
One word eloquently says it all
And the word is simply, bummer
The contradictory statement
Beaches are cool, what?
Sharks, jellyfish, and stingrays
I'll see you at the pool
Although some good times
Fishing, theme parks out and about
None of this do we forget
But one thing makes me glad
When summers gone
I really do hate to sweat.
Silence
They say silence is violence,
But it felt the easiest way to avoid yours.
I never knew how deafening the hush was to your ears.
But don’t think that when I’m quiet
That I am not speaking,
In my head I am on a tirade
That won’t stop for days.
See I learned what you did not,
To think before I speak.
It’s just I obsessively overprocess
And lose my opportunity to tell you,
Eloquently,
What’s really going on.
Not Many Amen’s Today
Not Many Amen’s Today Miracle Man September 22, 2024 Today’s sermon centered on Christian’s complaining. Often this is confused with a Christian explaining? When life things are amiss we all yield to this temptation. But in truth both words aren’t some new connotation. While our pastor so eloquently expounded on biblical views. His message landed generally on quiescent filled pews.
A Poet's Dilemma
To my Poet friends out there,
who won't ever tell and share.
  Has this ever happened to you?
A comment left, that was misconstrued.
Don't get me wrong, I've done it too,
That's why, I'm asking you?
  The reader did not understand,
the words you eloquently penned.
  You question, who's at fault,
in reading, all your thoughts.
  Was it me, who failed to convey,
or you, for seeing it your way?
In Your Absence
The core of me intently listens
          to that which, in your absence, I merely
                        imagined having heard;
                  Once again, I speak eloquently
        of that which, when you were away, I only
                           mumbled to myself;
        And, surefooted, I pick my way in the dark
           where, without you, I tumbled and fell.
                                  Thank you.
