The Angry Sea
You and I named clouds
which dissolved and left us still
staring at the sun,
listening for thunder's voice,
egging on the angry sea...

Premium Member He Is a Superspectacle
He is a superspectacle
Loud and proud
A one-man show

The teacher wants him out
The kids are delighted
Egging him on, loving the way he has taken the class hostage

He adores the attention
He has never had it before
Herein lies the problem...

Tryst
Yes, my darling, she whispers real low,
tenderly egging him on in the shadow
as on her ample and generous breasts
the lusty man greedily sucks and feasts.

Behind the door everything I overhear,
the sounds that the lovers make there;
blinded by wild rage the idiot barges in
and in a tryst I catch and startle them…

my unfaithful wife and our day-old baby boy!...

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Wiling her time away
She heard some shooting
Of course, it was Putin
Egging his puppets on.
She did not know them
So she did not show them
Any sign of fear,
Her innocent face
As she made them a place
Saying, puppets come over here
They loosened their strings
And started to sing
Together in harmony
Sitting together
Like birds of a feather
Peaceful, Happy and Free...

Mind Bloom
Little floret, little floret, when will you bloom?
Egging with watchful eyes, I waited for a glance.
Gentle dreams hit my eyes, oh! missed it in that gloom
Engulfed in mystic fragrance, took me into trance.
Drowsy lazy timid mind, one day sure will perfume
Yes that day, spreading fragrance, makes the world in prance.

Majestic evergreens, ramrod tall, towering over the fence they border
Long-ago runts, thirsting for water, struggling for their place in the sun

Bought for a pittance, a young man's dreams egging them on
Now he's older, they've left him behind, stumbling in their wake

As they fight back against the chill Spring wind, headstrong as he once was
His laughter parting the very skies, pleading for Nature to take her course...

Premium Member Grandma's Treat
Waves of cinnamon thrill my childhood senses down Eastwood’s stall for pancake’s fluffy batter browned choco bits riding on syrup’s edges and frothy heap of whipped cream topped on platter Grandma’s chirped voice begins to dance in my head her sunlit eyes egging me for rounds of treat. Visions of youth bring me to days, warmly fed, I end the meal pining for her cherished feast. © Sara Kendrick’s A Pleasant Childhood Memory

Tit For Tat
Tit had a hissy fit and called tat fat
while tat apologized after the fact
tit kept egging him on with rude remarks
while tat used tact leaving tit in the dark

Tit called tat names all night and day
till she saw tat and their cat Tater Tot at play
tat said I would prefer not to play tit for tat
but would rather play tic tac toe with the cat

With that tit realized that tit for tat was a useless attack
finally forgiving tat for eating all of her tic tac's
