He is a superspectacle Loud and proud A one-man show The teacher wants him out The kids are delighted Egging him on, loving the way he has taken the class hostage He adores the attention He has never had it before Herein lies the problem

Yes. Not easy to deal with because sometimes the hunger for attention is never sated. Also dangerous. I believe this is the motivation of some killers. Some people thrive on notoriety, and I suppose that some children may as well. Very thought-provoking poem.

The children that refuse to leave the room do so because they do not want to lose their audience; it is difficult to retrain children not to laugh at the class clown, especially when they know how much he or she needs their attention. They are often aware more than the teacher.
