     Archipelago, a word rarely spoken
Dictionary lists it as a token
        gesture to eggheads and nerds
who have to know every word
     Just don’t ask Humpty-Dumpty
               ~ his recollection’s broken

Begala's Insult
Paul Begala called Obama's supporters eggheads and that wasn't nice.
I want him to keep his mouth shut and I don't want to have to say it twice.
Obama is a terrific person and he deserves our votes.
The words irritate me that came from Begala's throat.
His words annoy me like a toothache.
Mister Begala can go jump in the lake....

A Golden Egg
For Charley, I write a char-lay
a piece with extra twist bar none.
Dull thought laid aside for a day
shar-penning a lay just for fun.

When it comes to how words are spun,

Soft-shell poets away they run
unafraid of eggs they may lay.

A crate can be a car in poor condition.
Yolks ~ pun on jokes....

Prayers for the Stupid
My mission for today
is to be kind to stupid people,

by which I mean, not the uneducated,
but 'woke' teachers, professors,
all self-serving experts, and miscellaneous
radical eggheads.

They need a donkey to care for,
for donkeys are smart
and like dogs
they will offer them life lessons.

If the donkey occasionally kicks them,
out of an excess of love,
then I would not laugh,

just smile, and hopefully,
not in any condescending way....
