Ebb, flow, ebb, flow, ebb
Relaxation, silence with
Romance, sunrise
(Inspired by Raul's contest's picture. Not an entry.)
Bubbling torrent
foams and spits at the future
verbal battery
drowning in a sea of words
would you please, please just shut up!
waves of up down thoughts
flow in heart ocean's weather
mind moon's ebb tide game
day turns
into night
then day
then night
again
the sun
the moon
go on
dancing
yet you're
still gone
AP: Honorable Mention 2021
The sun knelt in reverence.
She lived a moment's breath, no more.
Bravely took her final journey.

in the ebb and flow of it all…
worms
have their holes
spiders
have their webs
what
we have
nobody knows:
injustice
still flows—
justice ebbs
Whipped
by the
raging wind,
white horses ride
the
tide
until
exhausted-
die upon the
shore
Inspired by Winslow Homer's paintings of the American seaboard at Maine
Ebb and Flow Here We Go
Political scene seems to ebb and flow;
Looks like pretty soon we all will go;
For a cure,
Never sure;
Our only problem no one does know.
Jim Horn
The ebb tide's
rhythmic swishing,
as it leaves the soft,
sandy shoal,
calms down the
simmering turmoil
troubling this weary,
urban soul !

The ebb and flow, a ceaseless art,
That shapes our voyage, plays its part,
We catch the surge, a fleeting gleam,
Or drift along a silent dream,
Providence grand, beyond our hold,
A story age old, to unfold.
waves flow to the shore
tide rises
sea shells on the sand
a briny sea
undulates in rhythmic waving motion
slowly ebbing away

It comes in waves
One moment
Drowning
Gulping for air
Wishing
The world away
In an abysmal of fear
Then, the tide turns
Currents change
Swimming
Doing the backstroke
Wishing
The world to stay
With a blissful tear
comes now the ebb,
between twigs, spider spins
its silken web...
for brown leaves are such,
fingertips desert
their sense of touch !
A quiet sound lingers long
with Time's every ebb
and flow.
Memory is an echo of an echo
heard faintly long,
long ago.
Waves and ripples of forgetting,
splashes of remembering
come and go!
From atop the great tall sequoias
dragonflies fantasize of summertime;
of warmer mornings and balmy winds,
while dodging flycatchers and bullfrogs.
A lone cicada sings his mating sonnet
upon the ebb and flow of life's circle.
Rain washing through my open heart.
Glistening in the breaks and lacerations.
Bloodless drips abolish the evocation of pain.
Faculty of mind syphoned, immediate sublimation.
I roam eternity, interstellar dust once more
From where I came, I shall return

eludes.
Fickle muse
transient, coy,
darting 'twixt shadows 'tween triumph and sorrow.
Lyric disclosure she alone bestows
tho oft piercing
pain resolved
cues her
song.

"Where Your Poetry Comes From"
Standing by your heart beats;
Pumping flowing ever so heart beats;
Rivers of blood living steams flowing;
Through my veins, within my mind as
well as my heart of hearts my life ebb flows

indeed, brown leaves are such,
fingertips desert
their sense of touch;
ruefully leaves the ebb
as 'tween twigs, spider spins
its silken web!
All the moons shone bright in the sky
above the ones that worshipped her;
Their ebb and flow will amplify
all the moons shone bright in the sky;
As twilight’s paint brush starts to dry
it collects dreams with a whisper;
All the moons shone bright in the sky
above the ones that worshipped her.
The waves of life roll on the shore,
grains multiply- each wave brings more.
Our beach grows deep with every grain-
the ones of joy, the ones of pain.

Thrills with amusement
Daily life presents ebb and flow
That peak at the highest point and then hit a plateau
Until the sequence of life episodes fall into place, regaining the composure

their ebb and flow, a water show
the sprinkler’s rhythms hypnotize
a blade of grass digests a drop
young flowers vibrate, start to grow
around me sparkle prisms bright
pure colors changing in the light
I wish this day would never die
and life’s illusions veil their lie
