Deaf Ears

I do not feel as I did before, My body went to war, Attacking me with a mighty force, There's more, of course, But listening can be such a bore.

“Attacking me with a mighty force?” Sounds like you’re battling an autoimmune condition. Are you? I can listen without getting bored, so if you need an ear, soup Mail me. Your poet friend, Jennifer Fenn

Not boring, Shirley. I have all the time in the world (well, what's left) and I have big ears! Literally. If I nod and do not reply, it may be because I have turned off my hearing aids. LOL! Just joking.

It would be a bore To open up and tell you more As I have complaints galore I am sure Milt you know the score As from the surgery you write Poems that tell me all's not right With you and your aging frame It seems to me we feel much the same I thank you for your listening ear We would be talking forever, I fear As soon as one ache or pain subsides Others come and override I can't do things I did before Have turned me into a crashing bore.
