Sometimes we write many drafts
about who we want to be in our thoughts,
only to realize we've become editors
in other's people's lives.....
The colors drift
With the winds of winter
Drafts dapple and draw
A sequence of life
Ever changing
But always the same
Once it begins
It never ends
And so life goes…
we glare, we groan, we get along!
a duo doomed by destiny,

I am a silly caterpillar
Intoxicated
By the fumes of Grace.
Look my way
My wings are blue
I am a light hearted butterfly sailing on the drafts of love.
I am a laughing baby your serious faces
So funny to me
I am an attitude of gratitude
peripheral vision is a curse
showing me what I've left undone
like cream swirls in my coffee
which my will can't mix in
can't stir to closure
to declutter
and finish
half-starts
drafts
wants
hopes
left to languish
in cafe latte, now cold
Somewhere inside Big Red is her body.
A shield against winter drafts and cold
It covers her delectables and wraps her delights.
I hate it.
Its artificial fur vexes my skin and hides her from me.
But I know, inside that unnatural mantle is her body.
MMMMM OK.

Dreams of birds flown south
live in shadows of summer past.
Gray skies and cold drafts
come as winter settles the land.
A year’s ending
when a friend mourns
her sister’s passage,
brings hopes for another beginning.
On days like this
I wonder about my life,
the reasons we live and die
seasons and incarnations of time.
i'd written
and thought
hidden several
drafts but cheers
to the last
pint that has
me with frothy
mustache over my
hairy but
beware of
the tickle to
come when i
down
the last
draft and
laugh and
say gan bei
cin cin salud
prost and skal
but after awhile
i'm
lost in
translation

Spiral notebooks -
containing traces of
ideas, drafts, false starts
and unfinished works.
Doodles and rambling thoughts
scribbled on collage rule paper -
blue lines
and standard margins
written in pencil
pages smudged
and torn by the eraser
nothing permanent.
Somewhere in those
scattered thoughts
live insight, wisdom
and poetry.
Cheer sums
Warm outcomes
Love finds
Peace of mind
Touch links
Thoughts we think
Joy knows
Charm that grows
Hope brings
Such grand flings

Refreshing scent of dew upon the grass,
Warm and humid as the sun is rising,
Songbirds singing melodies of morning,
Beautiful blooms upon the garden bed.
Invigorating drafts of Folgers in the air,
Comfy covers keeping sleepers warm,
Dawn passing soft welcome through the home,
Sleepy eyes awakening once again.
To live this spring morning.
THROUGH THE CRACKS
unbreakable
no cracks or
complaints
perfect in
every way
without me
she would not
exist so
thankful
like a true
Pacifist
then she left
letting in
cold drafts
through cracks
in the dark
secretly wishing
I would die…she lied

Hamlet Place, ACT
When a January blast,
Feeds a February blizzard,
It recedes into a March flurry.
An April flutter,
Melds into a May wafting.
Giving way to a June zephyr,
Followed up by a July puff.
A mere breath in August,
Succumbs to September drafts,
Which are overcome by gusts of October.
Nodding away to the gales of November,
That chill a soul for the blows of December.
An artist of many crafts
Yet, a master of none
Projects stay as drafts
Left to wither undone
Oh but can she decide
Which shall be
The one she takes pride
But how can she
When all seems so abundant
Choosing one means wasting others
It may become redundant
Then all loses it’s colors
She might never establish a winner
Alas she will remain a beginner
There is a space
When time stands still,
Here face to face
Deep silence fills.
In a calm trace
Cause greets last light,
A certain pace
Transcend mere sight.
Stillness now drafts
True tensile tact,
Watch ideas craft
Such myriad acts.
In poignant feel
That grand design,
Watch stillness heal
What cause aligns.
