The mosaic moon, guardian of heaven, cries mournful tears of midnight clouds as my broken heart sighs, crushed beneath the wings of an angel, lost in her soul's garden, a maze of disconcerting emotional lies.

Premium Member What Does He Want
It is disconcerting to walk past your car
and see a man crouched down, hiding in the back seat.
Who is he?
What does he want?
Do I warn my husband before he hot tails it out for gas?
Or would he rather be surprised?
Perhaps it is an old college roommate.
I think
as I wave goodbye from the driveway....

Spectator's Soliloquy
Vacant mind filled with vacuous thoughts,
he is diabolical,makes me disconcerting.
Many a time we have fought a lot,
when things were going south,
on his terms I took the roundabout.
Going circles I never realized,
he led me on a rabbit trail,
I made it far, escaped the static, ecstatic,
but he left me at a place no one's ever tread....

Waiting for a vision of the self can be a tedious task spirit can be silent for so long then one day it will say to you, "Why didn't you ask?" Stirring the cauldron for years can be disconcerting especially when the perception never changes you thought you knew, but now you do, and you learned, by mere, observation...

The Unaltered Depiction
Startled by the hallucination
of himself upon the wall
The man of a compromised conscience
cringes with apprehensive velocity

Debilitating panic emerges
with a disconcerting air of predictability
Transporting him, intangibly, to a setting that prohibits
his own narration
Forcing him to endure his biography
without any preferred revisions...

Premium Member Dark
Disconcerting to us is darkness of space,
across which luminous stars adorn the sky.
We look to the light, as outpourings of grace,
whilst inky blackness, instinctively decry.
Wishing to linger in our lovers embrace,
we equate love with light, which when ebbs, we die.
Fearful of the dark, we sleep it off at night,
joyous when greeted by the morning’s sunlight....

Ode To My Muse
And then I
sit here squeezing
my soul like
a lemon in the
frantic
attempt to pour
my juices
out and distill
them in few
concise
drops of relief

Shivers shake
me in waves of
self-awareness coming
from your disconcerting
mirroring while I rattle
verses
out in a stream of
concerned consciousness

To your enchanting
complexity I owe
what binds
me to unravel
my thought
patterns with a strength I had
never
known before...

Joy Recipe and Secret
Joy strengthens the spirit ...
Joy after the pain, it's comforting ...
Pain after joy, it's disconcerting ...

Laugh with joy at the defects,
to repair them...

The joyful are those who compensated
their feathers ...

Joy makes us forget
the weaknesses and exalt the strengths ...

Joy is being in heaven
being on earth ...

Send smiles,
dress with joy ...
Life will thank you ...

Live life with joy... !...

From anger, we’ve released words bent on hurting, These words, were intended to be, disconcerting. Then later, without the sense God gave a horse, We wallow, in our self made pools of remorse. Our tongues, became bridges from our heart to ear, Delightedly, to purpose we’ve managed to adhere. Apologies, never eradicate and others may spurn, Harsh words, like arrows once released, won’t return.

Nighttime
a disconcerting stillness begins
only the hum of my heart
light-stepping hooves in my ears

slightly I begin to discern
more noises creeping in
the soft whirl of the ceiling fan

as senses start to adjust
the nights delightful presences
of moths and crickets too

soon sand man will appear
livid dreams, no pain or tears
content on pillow so soft

listening to the nighttime
its nuances have brought
comfort in the shadows...

Losing Track
Once you are retired
(And there is no going back),
The days are interchangeable
And you keep losing track.

Monday feels like Friday
Or like Saturday, perchance;
You’re never certain ‘til
Upon the calendar you glance.

It’s slightly disconcerting
But it’s cutting loose, as well.
Each day is like another,
All the same and parallel.

A part of me still misses, though,
When I could really say
TGIF was reason for
A hearty hip-hooray!...

Accustomed to an environ combative & competitive, identity finds it disconcerting to rest in stillness attentive & meditative, wondrously viewing heightening magnetism in the void of emptiness as potentiality, nonchalantly releasing the humming current as manifestations of enigmatically shifting beauty. Spanda, thus renewed with each breath. Within.

Poised and attentive
Humming stillness speaks softly
As silent thunder

Premium Member One Numb American
My emotions runneth over.
I wish to be rendered numb.
My depleted feel capacity
is disabled for more to come.
Current news and social media
triggered my emotional anemia.

Riots and division,
disconcerting tension,
a clustered decay mission
lacking fruitful intentions
swells dubious ambitions.
No more can I watch or listen.

I love my home country,
I love my fellow man -
thus I pray current upset
finds positive space to land.
