ONE NUMB AMERICAN

My emotions runneth over.
I wish to be rendered numb.
My depleted feel capacity
is disabled for more to come.
Current news and social media
triggered my emotional anemia.

Riots and division,
disconcerting tension,
a clustered decay mission
lacking fruitful intentions
swells dubious ambitions.
No more can I watch or listen.

I love my home country,
I love my fellow man -
thus I pray current upset
finds positive space to land.

On the contrary , we are so happy with Trump bacause he got that savage Mugabe to resign at 92. Your feelings are so well portayed. Comfortably numb is our defence mechanism. Nothing will change the outcome of our election. If you're unhappy, find you a candidate for the next election and use your energy campaigning. For one, it disgusts me and two, I don't know anymore what is fact or fiction. I think I will just wait and see what happens and hope for the best and stick to poetry.
