Premium Member She Is Not Just Any Old Ship
She is not just any old ship.
She is a warrior, tried and true.
USS Iowa.
I have a plethora of stories about her.
That I share with no one.
For to share would feel like being dismissive.
I cannot dishonor her by disclosing her secrets.
It would feel also like diminishing my time served....

Love Rests Between Us
'To see is to believe,' and the fact
Remains that all we believe may not be.
I see you, and you see me... but
Love you cannot not see.

si(I see not our breaths,

love,

but I believe we breathe)gh

Would you, could you - After all,
I'm disclosing this mask
Right here in front of you -
At least, believe in me?...

I Beg To Differ
You imply the cruel
Based on an outcome
You fear to admit to.
Disclosing only your version
Of truth vs. fact.
Lies for damage limitation
Lead to fabricated trust.
Your theory of friendship’s
Compassion and kindness
Now reads like a satire.
The thoughtless consequences
Of your fairytales.
So you assume too much
And I beg to differ....

Fooling Around
The time had gone by
The days were shallow
The years were passing by
The counting had begun
It was too late

Tears rolled around the cheeks
The misery was unbearable
The plan had fallen apart
The truth was coming out
And to her, the riddle was solved

The sin was waiting
For the sinner
The evil deeds were disclosing
The murderer
All accomplished in a day...

A Photograph
There is something about photos...
They freeze a moment’s time forever.
You see decades as though it were yesterday.
Images of good memories shine in our hearts,
like fresh roses in spring.
Photographs capture emotions in an instant,
disclosing envious eyes, secret admirers,
and lasting friends.
A photo is a single jigsaw puzzle that unravels
many secrets.

Buoyant orange flames leap like a leopard stalking the sun. Posthumously, the mountain of smoke and ash collapsing on itself, selfishly stomping out joy, but for the Aurora Borealis, the joykill of skullduggery. Her light like song notes, tra-la-la-ing. Her beauty, unscrupulous, to the roaring volcanic beast.

northern lights emeralds and pinks disclosing phantasm peaks valleys of despair

The Poet In the Subway
Seated in the station
At a table he had brought,
A poet (as his sign announced)
Typed poems that he had wrought.

His hands were ready at the keys
To tap out a request;
Just choose a topic and you’d hear it
In his words expressed.

He offered me his email list;
I added my address.
Without disclosing what I do,
I wished him much success.

I had no need for what he’d write
And so I headed home,
Delighted that he’d given me
A subject for my poem....

Debt
A thing to necessarily pay
Or have even powerless things block your way;
An unpleasant story
Making the more gory!

A thing to service
And you’re to serve some notice,
Disclosing your saddening lacks
And in your pockets the crippling cracks.

…Also, a thing to forgive,
When you can’t the money retrieve
Or it’s smell soon perceive
But over it won’t grieve…

The hugest debt
Is for the doubly set
Or one shall be jogging in an avenger’s net
With cheeks forever wet....
