A tree came down in our front yard,
I’d never noticed it ‘til now,
Its rugged trunk, its ragged bough
Had kept the sun from shining hard.
It was this tree diffused the light,
Its limbs selecting out which beams
Should enter, in bright-ribbon streams,
Our fronted rooms, to light them right.
It served its purpose quietly –
Living, I never gave it aught
Except indifference, 
Never thought,
But dying, made its mark on me....

He is mindful-delicate to no end,
realizing tastefulness is his friend.

Writing tirelessly not breaking a sweat,
tantalizing senses with diffused couplet.

Praise be to him who has patience to,
sit in endless ponder the way poets do.

Fused; no end no start 

Evolved beyond lifetimes 
Years measured in blinks
Eons blending nightimes
Eternity shrinks

Others wanting taboo
answers to life's "why's"
Myself? Without question

Six feet tall
anchored with thin lines
to the rain spouts and drains,
hanging like a circular banner
glowing in our security light
centered by a dark wriggly thing
big enough to see from the
upstairs window. There's 
something about the moving
legs of spiders that scares me,
so precisely was it
sorting out its threads.

But in the morning 
nothing but a ruin.
The light runs swiftly through it,
barely diffused and there is no
monster....
