29th February

To deprive people a martyr day each year
Or as a husband to save some money
You either marry me or hang me
But fixed the date on 29th February.

Premium Member Fear Not the Night

Fear not the questions of life

Fear not the answers unknown

For the knowledge will come for all or for some

If you seek it on your own

Fear not the darkness to come

Fear not the eternal night

For the shadow will fall for one and for all

And deprive us of the light

Premium Member Your Soul Light

Do not let darkness cover your light
Do not let lies keep you from right

Do not let fears and doubts in the night
Deprive you of courage and your might

Do not let mistakes that you permit
Bind your love so you don’t commit

Beyond today and apart from tomorrow
Live in joy and not in sorrow

Premium Member After Pain

The one who brought fun, laughs, and smiles
travailed his path for miles and miles.

Amusing quips that filled his mind
Were formed by tragedies behind.

When one has never felt real pain
True joy the soul cannot attain.

Do not let pain that storms your way
Deprive your heart of joy each day.

Do Not Deprive and Remain Alive

Do Not Deprive and Remain Alive

God did not intend us to deprive;
He knows we surely will survive;
Escape mishap,
And avoid trap;
Stay on earth and remain alive.

Nampa means moccasin or footprint.
Do the Blackfeet Indians live there?

Will you teach Sunday school classes
while in Nampa?

I'M Surviving

I will survive
Or I will die
I will connive
I will lie
I want to feel that drive

I want to be alive
I don't want to say goodbye
My mind is full of deprive
I ask God why
My goals have been rived

I want to thrive
I truly do try
My bad luck comes in fives
But I was not born to comply
I will survive

Sins

The Sins I commit
I admit
You know it all
Punish me your way
I’ll bow my head, I accept my fate
Have no doubt, I have true faith
Though unfortunate, I know there is no alternate
But do not deprive me of my dreams
They are, My life line
At times outrageously profane, delirious, vengeful
But they are my most beautiful

Within the Soul

words are wasted on the wise
drowned in light within our eyes
upward bound we find our lives
downward spiral does deprive
searching within for signs of hope
we find inside we cannot cope
lost inside our minds we find
darkness comes, we're going blind
hope never found inside our head
we find encroaching darkness there instead

When Writing a Verse

A poet, when writing a verse
Should into her feelings immerse
For she won’t survive
If she tries to deprive
What she writes of what might be adverse.

Though, of course, she just might intersperse
Words to soften a blow or reverse
Certain thoughts that contrive
To cause damage to thrive
But to out and out lie would be worse.

Loneliness

I feel so alone,
even as I stand in a room
full of people,

Alone
I feel alone.

I try to escape from
my deathly silence,
yet I still stay in isolation.

My thoughts and words,
never understood or heard
by any other,
I feel alone.

So I'll keep my thoughts,
until the day I die,
and deprive the world,
of one voice.

Mine.

Judgments and Excuses

Deprive negativity
Doesn't really add any solution
Judgements and Excuses
We all have them
Yet we need to look at
Ourselves berfore any finger
Begins to point
Deprive Negativity
Arrive the ability
To love one another
Cause one and other
In the same Land
As sister and Brother
Lift the covers of Ignoramce
Just another Deliverance

Premium Member Ode To Our Raccoons

Ode To Our Raccoon’s By: Tom Wright 1-18-2020 Around two thirty most mornings, I gaze out the rear window and see. A family of Raccoon’s foraging, on pecans from under our tree. Pecan hulls litter the sidewalks, but of these morsels I won’t deprive. For I realize It’s one of God’s creatures, doing its best to just survive.

Premium Member The Darkness Within

There’s never been a night so blue, the moon nowhere around;
I sit here weary and askew, ghost whispers only sound.
As darkness overtakes the land, I ponder love and life;
the loneliness I feel at hand, incises like a knife.
These demons deep within my soul that torture me this way;
deprive me, like a vicious troll, from feeling whole today.

Premium Member Once and Now

Once I tried my best to survive,
Where money and power did thrive,
All my worldly life, I did strive,
But that style did only deprive,
Then was I dead, now I'm alive,

Once I was lost, now I am found,
Once I was hurt, now safe and sound,
Once I a slave, now no more bound,
Once prodigal, now His child crowned,
By God's pure grace, blessings abound.

Courageous Noesis

When they deprive me opportunity I gain confidence
When they shut their doors on me I pray
When I fail I gain courage
No matter how many times they knock me down I'll keep getting up

Pierce through me with your blade I'll keep moving
Disparage my effort I'll keep striving
Underestimate me at your peril
Before the sunset beneath the ocean
I'll be where I'm destined to be

Premium Member To the Ends of the Earth

Such little time has passed where once was just
a dream; I lived to love you
beneath labyrinths sky

Sleepless nights, clutching to memories as
they slowly fade echoing
through deprive lace fingers

And I would go, to the ends of the earth
to be close and in your arms
feeling gracious heaven
