Two darlings in a basket
As pretty as any babies have a right to be
We kept tiptoeing a bit closer
To get “just one more peek”
We rarely see a baby this pretty
Let alone in tandum
When thoughts of you Soup ladies fill my brain
I tingle and twitch and forget my name
See what you do
You darlings you
You fillies are sweeter than a cup of aspartame
Weeds
Useful?
Invaluable to me
I am a country gardening queen
Some people eliminate these darlings.
Not me. I plant them in bare spots.
And yes they thrive in them.

Arching your back, trying desperately to counterpoint the feet,
The smile on your faces can not hide the pain of it all.

Deers are the most gentle, dearest animals in nature
So delicate and peaceful, such sweet loving creatures
Hunting should be banned
Prohibited out of hand
These darlings are living tenderness teachers
happy toddlers laughing, giggling, dancing, playing
excited children spinning, twirling, inviting, including
enthusiastic parents admiring, enjoying, loving, talking
park full of little darlings on a summer's day

Squeaks shrieks and whistling chirps
mixed with mimicry, colourful
spotted speckled iridescent darlings
Pixilated torturous waves at dusk
mesmerising murmurations escaping the day
starlings, self-pursued sardines of the sky
flowing contorting distorting, fly

As we breathed, we stood apart,
Rocks fall, our world crumbling...
I feel trapped like a conjuring charm...
Loving you is an existence...
Losing you is a solicitous ardent.
A prick in my breath is our amulet,
Inlet borders our souls, my starlet...
As we died, we stood in cahoots.

Bright colors

In the garden grow
Zinnias

More will show faces

Summer
