What lies on the dark side of the moon Do beings exist in a magical commune Since time began Since the dawn of man It's really puzzled us from our wobbly cocoon

Like facets of a diamond when held to light,
or ice cream eaten without want or need of spoon.
Visions pass as history regales the knight,
and search continues for the dark side of the moon.

Fear

Through the day a shadow
Away from view of light
Dark side of the moon
A face of purest white
Silently to kill
To keep a heart at bay
Fear will take a mind
And tell it where to stay

Black as pitch
Cold as ice
Dry as sand
Half as nice

Never seen
All alone
Hidden face
Heart of stone

Dead by day
Dead by night
Always dark
Never bright

Hit by stars
Solar wind
Lonely rock
Till the end

Dark Side

We live our lives in pieces,
A little at a time.
Some pieces lived in sadness,
While others are sublime.
The bad times leave so slowly,
The good times leave too soon.
Some times we live in secret,
On the dark side of the moon.

Dark Side of the Moon

What would you do,
When the world turns dark?
The lives around you collapse to pieces.
You, left alone to pick up the broken lives.
Putting them, you are the solid in the ground
The world has floated backwards
To the dark side of the moon

Every child knows the moon has a face
that looks down kindly on the human race.
But can anyone ever calm the screams
of the frightened child who constantly dreams
of the demon face that's never shewn
on the dark side of that self-same moon?

Starlight

We bleed in the images they choose
we are not blind.

Then they riddled me the words so lose
they got tongue tied.

So lost on this dark side of the moon
there's no sunshine.

One finger to trace the stars in the sky
because sometimes.

The answer to all of our dreams is outlined
in starlight.

Pegs Surprise

Just bought a plot of land, it’s a surprise
for my wife, somewhere she can exercise,
as soon as the deeds are finalised, ready
I’ll pack her cases, loves traveling does Peggy,
so when she’s settled I will join her there
in the circumstances I think that’s only fair
I’ve sprang the surprise, she’ll be gone soon
hope she enjoys it on the dark side of the moon.

To My Inlaw the Outlaw

"I recognized the rainbow
in the night when
you were waiting for
the sun to rise on the
dark side of the moon.

When I was a kid, the sun
would melt the pavement
on the way to school,
hot, shifting colors on
the slickened road.

And today the black pools
in the swamp said the
same thing: forbidden joy.

Morning is in the eyes
of your children and
the tiny roots are moving
into the soil.

The glow of Luna on sultry nights
Stirs up romance with desire in flight
The rise and fall, celestial pull
Dance of tides when moon is full

When Luna goes in crescent mode
Just a slice of it is glowed
The shape we see from earthly view
Is an illusion of ethereal brew

Luna's power has a dark side
It can make Jekyll turn into Hyde
And turn man to beast and make him howl
As he becomes a werewolf on the prowl.

Sick Spirit

Nebulas in space like islands on the sea
Their beauty
Mesmerizing, majestic
Spellbinding fantastic

I wish to control my destiny
The problem is that to control destiny
I would have to control every destiny
And someone who controls all destinies I don’t wish to be

I want something different to give me bliss
Something that that of more spellbinding beauty is
Rather than hit the soul like a typhoon
I demand the light of life to shine on me from dark side of the moon

Drifts

Pen to paper,
sword to the soul,
write your heart out...
Now!

Do something,
sing,
dance,
prance even,
but do not stop.

Living is a funny
the experience
a mock reality
of all our tomorrows,
we forget about the present.
It is a miracle,
all it's own.

The light outside,
bright full of sun,
and yet
there is...
a dark side of the moon.

We are dreaming,
beaming...
seaming to make sense...
and not.

Nothing,
common... at all.

Nocturne

When the evening dawns before the morning star has settled and
telescopes are bent on insight mirroring the dark side of the moon
where scorched lenses dangle from molten lightning’s focus clear in dusk
of stars behind the prisms of reflection condensed into sleep’s night
The time-place has arrived to shed the tombs of inner refuge’s prison
to harvest deluge from inundated waters and lure the sun
enchant the story of narration in poetry and view the light where it belongs

The Dark Side of the Moon

I don't mind living alone on the dark side of the moon
if it will keep me from feeling the pain of another wound.
These cold November skies have brought all sins to light.
I need a hiding place where each moment is dark as night.

I will always love you, but my darling, please let me go.
Before I kiss you one last time, I want to let you know
if you ever find the courage to finally set yourself free
look on the dark side of the moon. That's where I'll be.
