As dark turned to dawn, in bed with my love I lay, wishing for time to stop. . . so in his arms I might stay.

Dawn
Travail is what binds us,
The broken hearts we share--
And so it is we travel thus
In longing and despair.
Yet for the night that lingers so,
The road still winding on--
There is one thing I breathless know,
That dark precedes the dawn.
And for the hope of daybreak,
That it will intercede--
I once more smiling waken
Yet unwilling to concede....

Spring comes in on a warming breeze,
Waving goodbye to the old snow king.

Peering bravely through last of snow,

The birds and the bees, new buds on the trees,
Proclaim that sweet spring is here to stay.
I most of all, hear the siren's call
And rush forth to greet the first spring day....

Greed and Fall
As I struggled in the dark lane at dawn
With noisy crickets giving rhythms in my trance
I recalled myself, 'a diamond among the sea of glass'
Who once sat on a winning lottery
But my gigantic hunger made the curtain of life fall.
Will I have a second bite at a cherry?
One that comes with grits and stars?
Not in dusks but sunrise in life?
These questions kept knocking through my brain while the yellow light rested on my cheek.
I hope to break the circle and make it count again!...
