On the Road To Damascus
It was on the road to Damascus
When suddenly I was struck
It wasn’t a damascene moment
Just a great big pick up truck...

Seven Trails Cross Damascus
I'm never going to see
the great rhododendron giants
of Virginia
or yell"Hey Bear",
on the Appalachian Trail
seven trails cross Damascus
not one to Jerusalem....

Tuscan Red Temptation
Tinctures of Tuscan red temptation
trickle through all
of the tempestuous rivulets
in Damascus

The scent of
the nonpareil nectar
torments both the
nearby boors and patricians

They quaff the wine and
leave the river dry
despite having no mouths
to drink from...

The Call
Not Damascus road but the burning bush
Or where the ships for Tarshish dock
Find me swaddled in the bulrush deep
With neither rod nor sight I shall hide
Only where you cleft your side for me
And as your witness pursue hell's Herod
Beyond my brimming wilderness, for I
To your service pledge my life in praise...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

On Merry Christmas coming Santa Claus.
Meanwhile he decided to stop, because
                        clowns from Damascus
                         offered Hibiscus
to honour Santa Claus with great applause.

CLOWN FROM DAMASCUS

Came clown wearing gown from Damascus.
Bought tent from down town for the circus.
                     He put nice rose Damask
on the nose of his mask
            wearing garland of red Hibiscus

The Blinded Fall To Damascus
Truth has become socially malleable,
personally customized and saleable.

Ruled Politically incorrect,
by the self appointed elect.

We’ve hit that slippery slope running,
led by diabolical cunning.

We're on that horse and galloping like Saul,
persecuting salvation...right St Paul?

The sin is the same as it used to be,
just a different apple tree.

Work out your salvation in fear and trembling,
for Truth and lies are conveniently blending....

Premium Member The Sands To Damascus
I'll cross the dunes where the sand has grown
And lift my eyes to the horizon last
For me to follow to my lovers home
Travel the desert this hell so vast

I need to find Damascus, where my love lives
The sky has been watched, the sands read
To give her my love, the nights we'll relive
With joyous comfort in her luscious bed
I'll not make Damascus if caught in a storm
Die alone in this desert, thoughts of love still warm

For the Freedom-Loving People of Syria
Massacre at Houla.

She was no more than 10 years of age.
He could have been a grandfather.

Young, old, women, girls, men, boys.

108 lives.

Now they are buried,
in hurriedly dug graves,
on the plains of Houla.

Killed by knives,
shot at point-blank range,
slaughtered, mowed-down.

108 lives.

Snuffed-out. Decimated. Taken-out.

108 lives.

As Damascus lies blatantly,
spewing forth untruth,
108 warm, dead bodies,
remain buried,
in hurriedly dug graves,
on the plains of Houla.

108 lives....
