Premium Member Pure Botheration
Do crustaceans feel frustration
The question seems pure botheration

   Until the alarming realization
That many ask it about Asians...

What a Crabby Day
To the fish market she'd been fetchin',
    Now her stomach linin' stretchin',
Must have been the crabs she ate,
Three crustaceans gone from her plate,
        Now poor Grechin's rechin'....

Shadows on the sand; little crabs following mama. Shadows follow everyone but, crabs can burrow to hide; I can’t. It’s ok, my shadow is friendly with me but, crabs don’t know that.

Premium Member Shellfish Ken
There’s crustaceans in my rations,
And the krill are in my pills.
There’s a prawn on my lawn,
And all this gives me chills.
There’s an oyster who is cloistered
With a crawfish in a dish,
But the shrimp is on the barbie,
And that’s what gives me thrills....

Osama Bin Laden Is Buried At Sea
Infidel fish arrive,
shoals of blank-eyed eaters swim in circles,
each time the head turns toward Mecca
they nudge it in another direction.

Sea-bugs emerge,
dyspeptic crustaceans as small as fleas,
fastidious eaters
that consume only hate.

Above the waves a ship sails away,
having buried again
the evidence of hells D.N.A....

On Bleached Seagull Sands
Over the crys of seagulls
gods whisper loudest
over rain, and children voices
heavens open, declaring
'Sorrow is a pagan mask,
to scare the spirts
of envy away!'.
In Summer, tides rise
longest, crustaceans
crawl highest, only
to be devoured sooner
on bleached seagull sands
warming, burning, leaving
a decaying, vanishing shell....

Feed the Sea
Her mouth swallows whole
Slip away under the blackened deep

See the waves churning crashing overhead
Moved with a toss and jerk

An insignificant faint distant star in a murky dark sky
Embedded in sand

Lay with spiny urchins
Tumble across our sea bed

Crustaceans pinch and pick away
And what’s left for the coral

Feeds the sea
Until another...

Good Night
Good night to the smiling
moon asia land burnishing the
seascapes of you and me,

strokes of soapy filled waves
washing the shore brandishing
white sand, gleaming.

I was here before, with you and
you and you.

Twisting and scraping our way
like crustaceans lifting ourselves
parts one over the other till we no
longer were the sea but the limbs
on trees dropping seeds back through
the crusts of time....

Premium Member Scavenger Crabs
Scavenger crabs live under rocks
They live under seaweed, they live under docks
Scavenger crabs live under floats
They live under driftwood, they live under boats.

Scavenger crabs are bad because
They'll bite you with gigantic claws
They'll poke you, pinch you, stab and jab
If you go near a scavenger crab.

Scavenger crabs live by the shore
Hiding, waiting, crabs galore
Crabs are bad without a doubt
Chew you up and spit you out....

Unfathomable
As the sun makes its descent down the ocean line,

The sky turns peach,

And the sweetness of your smell makes me flutter towards you like a bee,

As I drift among the white sand,

The ocean waves reach for you,

And try to take you away,

The crustaceans shine their best for you,

And the sea stars light your ground,

As the stars begin to sparkle in the sky,

An unfathomable beauty unfolds,

And all I can offer you is a place beneath my wing....

Notes:
Beta-carotenes make flamingos pink. Their diet largely consists of crustaceans and algae, which are rich in carotenoids. This pigment gives flamingos the hot pink or reddish coloration they are known for. (FACTS.net)
