As close as one can get to the real scene in poem. Suspect you have retentive memory maybe even photographic. reminds me of walks with Romney who took listeners on nature walk on radio. You are really a talented poet with complete understanding of what the craft in right hands can do for peoples well-being. Like how you match sounds, smells and sights to what anyone on walk along a beach would experience. Poem paced to a walk to soak up atmosphere. Best regards from this lucky 70 yr old in NZ

Tania, I resonate with BJ's assessment that this haiku sonnet captures the absolute essence of the ocean beach. I love your imagery and the sights and sounds of the seashore... as you say, magical. I particularly enjoyed "dark ocean water / dance and reflect in moonlight ~ / a calming cadence". I missed this when it was new, but glad I did not miss it altogether- it is a delight to read.
