Blood Is Thicker Than Water
It’s not the color of our
skin that defines us
It’s the size of one’s ego
that expands like a balloon
Blood is thicker than water
We’re all human beings
We can try to asked
your opinion in
a civil matter
Don’t fool yourself by
saying you’re perfect
In reality nobody really is

No More Apple In Mama's Eye
They say a mothers love can never die
The truth be known,it's just another lie
Some can use up all a mothers tears
Wipe away all her loving years
A hurt so deep it does not heal
Her heart beats, yet it does not feel
and her broken heart made her walk away
she,ll turn her back, come what may
No more apple in your mama,s eye
Today your Mama says goodbye

That Cat
She was just an old lady living alone
not even a pet to call her own
Then one day a cat followed her home
Sometimes she'd sit outside in a chair
and on her lap was that cat sitting there
She shared many years with her cat friend
heard that cat was their to the very end
And just like the day that cat appeared
it simply left and just disappeared

I do not know?
Companionship
I’ve grown to love you more
and more each passing day
Something about the way
we both caught our attention
We could sense that we belong
Sparks started fly between us
Like a jigsaw puzzle fitting
pieces of our lives in place
We’re here to lookout for
our safety and companionship
You’ve made me very happy

A Mother Loves Forever
One day she'll break his heart in two
Then he'll come running home to-who
Where can he go,and who will care?
He left her life in such despair
He turned his back on everyone
This stubbron child,her only son
Her whole life now is rearranged
A mothers love can never change
It's in her heart where it will stay
As she awaits his return one day.

Mat the Cat
I have a cat his name is Mat he prowls at night and that is that
And so I wonder where does he go I would sure like to know
He is gone until early dawn returns home with a great big yawn
One day he brought a kitten home now two cats I seem to own
So now I have Mat and I have Pat wonder where he found her at
I wonder where does he roam and if he'll bring more kitten home

Just a Memory
Think I'll pack my bags today
And pick a place vey far away
I'll tel no one I am moving on
will you notice that I am gone
Wonder will you remember me at all
or are you locked inside your own wall
Where no one exists except for you
Once I was there, yes we were two
Am I nothing now but a lost memory
just a story told of you and me
When did you forget I was there
tell me, did you ever love me dear

Two Little Kids
Two little kids all snuggled in their bed
do you believe in Angels, one of them said
I think sometimes I can hear their wings
and when I am really tired I hear them sing
Shh, lets be quiet now, not one sound
before we fall asleep they will come around
And they will play their harp for us,shh not a peep
Two little kids in their bed ,now are fast asleep
The Angels hold them close they are in their keep

I'M Not Ready To Let Go
I am living my life
through your love
The talks and walks are
keeping us going onward
A smile is on our faces
Mom you are quiet
most of the time
I enjoy having you
in my presence
I'll have to say goodbye
to you only not yet
I'm going to miss
you so much
I treasure our moments together
We will meet again in heaven
I'm not ready to say goodbye
You are still here with me

The Rocker
I strapped on a Bass guitar
I'm turning up the speakers
Headphones covering the ears
Sunglasses are over my eyes
Striking the strings with a pick
The words flow out of me
I imagine myself playing in a
Rock band in a outdoor park
The crowds are going crazy
We are having a fun time
Music bringing us comfort
Lights can be seen held up
during the ballads of the classics
It doesn't get any better than this

Depression
She heads for the front door
And she wont be back anymore
Her mind made up a while ago
To a rented room she'll go
She cannot stay another day
So she choose to leave today
Leaving behind her kids and him
Her depression now is setting in
And she is fighting for her life
No more mother, no more wife
She feels nothing anymore inside
As though a part of her has died
All she does each day is cry
She has no answers why
In a note she says goodbye.

Lollipops and Angels Wings
Time to write of happy things
Like lollipops and Angels wings
Pretty rainbows across the sky
Watching Sea Gulls as they fly
To see the sun begin to rise
All this beauty before our eyes
We watch a boat go sailing by
Watch the fog roll in up high
See the tides as they move about
High tide comes in, low goes out
At night we watch the sun go down
So much beauty for us all around
So dont forget the simple things
Like lollipops and Angels wings

Beware the Takers
There are people who only take
And hurt all others in their wake
Beware of them for your own sake
They love no one its all a fake
False hearts,false lies they make
At your heart they will rake
Watch out for those who tell lies
Beware of all their alibis
Beware the ones who make you wait
Falling for them seals your fate
For they take love and then leave
And now all alone you will grieve
Keep your heart safe and true
Then one day true love will find you

The Soul of a Poet
I think at times our souls must suffer
And our hearts become our buffer
We write of truth and of sadness
Into our lives we bring such madness
To make our poems true and right
We must feel the pain we write
So we put the sadnes in out hearts
It is the way our poetry starts
And if we do not feel the pain
Our poetry has naught to gain
Yes, we may stir up controversy
(I am a poet, lord have mercy)
Some may criticize what we do
So poets,to your own heart be true
