Bumble, the baby bee had the best cradle of all
It was carved out of a walnut by his Grandpa Paul
It rocked in the wind, gave a gentle little sway
Bumble slept inside it cozily, snoring away...

Premium Member The Charm of the Woods
Huddled within a canopy of trees
cozily wrapped inside a wooden cabin
earthy womb of must, dirt and dust
leaded glass windows set the scene
shadow and light dance through the pines
tea kettle whistles over a crackling fire.

Premium Member What Really Gets Me Up Each Morning
What gets me up each morning from my bed
is first, my cats, wanting to be fed.
One cat would even hit my head!
To work I must be, or else
I’d lie there cozily
indefinitely.
Ultimately,
I get up
just to
pee!

Premium Member A Fluffy Pillow For My Head
A fluffy pillow for my head, my doggie curled up at my feet, and large soft quilts upon me spread. A fluffy pillow for my head and I’m tucked cozily in bed. Tonight my dreams will all be sweet. A fluffy pillow at my head; my doggie curled up at my feet. For Carol Brown's FLUFF Poetry Contest

Premium Member Shh Babies Are Sleeping
Shh! Babies are sleeping Dorie said.
Slumbering in dreamland with her Uncle Fred
Tummies full of dolly potatoes, they are amply fed
Especially after gulping down cinnamon bread

Two dreaming of a trip on an African bobsled
Cozily cuddled up in a rocking chair bed.
One baby dolly in a nightshirt made by Grandpa Ed.
All three in dreamland where only angels tread....

Premium Member The Cat of the Poet Speaks

The cat speaks,, listen!

I recline here, cozily staring at you.
Lost in the windows of your mind.
Penning, you do all the day through.
As a poet’s pet, I am sweet and kind.

Your breath is a lullaby, under the moon.
If any spirit be my Muse, it is surely thee!
Sleeping on my poetic, warm cocoon.
Bringing you love thoughts, ,magically!

Premium Member Warm Embers Glow
Warm Embers Glow.
.
Wrapped up cozily safe and warm
In my angel's wings
Within our soft feathered nest
A time of blissful awakenings
Sharing giving soothing and tenderness
Skin to skin heart to heart
A single sumptuous lingering kiss the spark
Ignites the flames of passion and desire
As the night slowly expires
The embers still glow
Long after the fire
.

Self-Centered
“Do you see any leg wound, my friend I feel some pain, see drops of blood - the road we passed was stained.” The horse asked the cat, who detests blood or mud. “I don’t know,” answered the cat, nestled cozily in a bag strapped on the horse’s back. “I didn't feel any discomfort that might have been caused by your change in stride or slack.” 15 June 2015 No Rules Contest Sponsor: Rob Carmack

If I Can
If I can,
sing a lullaby to a crying baby, lonely in a dark cold night,
Until cozily doze off in my rocking lap.

  		If I can,
Hold firmly a falling down soul in despair,
And give the courage to stand up again.

  		If I can,
Wipe a tear from a teen whose youth was stolen
And give her the wisdom to fight the cruel shame away.

This worthless life means something to me...

Premium Member Dreamy Melody
At short siesta time after lunch at noon I sat alone cozily in my room Listening classical song from my phone Its melody dreamily brings me home - A home where warmest love sweetly blossoms. As I closed my eyes and took a deep sigh I’ve reverie while feeling lulled up high I savored each gentle flow of refrain While fun memories with loved ones came by I’ve wished my siesta and music sustain.
